NEL DC LEAGUE is a newly formed transversal group inside Schneider Electric leading innovations in the field of development of safety applications and controls for smart DC microgrids in public, commercial areas and homes.
In collaboration with our partners in the novel Current/OS foundation, we create systems that are fundamental to sustainable energy transition.
Current/OS is a task force of manufacturers and electricity stakeholders shaping a direct current (DC) standard for buildings and installations, including DC Microgrids. Current/OS rules facilitate precise power adjustments within and beyond the DC grid.

We are looking for a Senior .NET Backend Developer to:
- Overview the development of backend systems for DC microgrid tools.
- Co-ordinate with the global architecture lead on software systems design.
- Ideate on new prototype tools for NEL DC.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for writing backend services for NEL DC prototype tools. These include monitoring solutions for DC microgrids, emulation engines for Current/OS compatible DC products and sizing tools for DC installations.
- Application architecture on backend systems.
- Maintaining best practises on coding standards.
- Managing basic infrastructure and repositories for NEL DC codebase.
What Qualifications will make you successful for this role?
Qualifications:
- 5 - 7 years of experience in .NET application development.
- Specialized experience in .NET 8.0 and .NET Core applications.
- Previous experience of developing loosely coupled systems, API's (services) and business logic layers in C#.
- University degree or diploma/certificate on higher education.
- Startup mindset and able to work independently is a big bonus.
Technical skills:
- Languages: C# 8.0, .NET Core
- Frameworks: .NET
- Tools: JetBrains Rider, Visual Studio, Git, Azure DevOps, Docker, Kubernetes
- Methodologies: Agile, Scrum, Test-Driven Development (TDD), Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD)
- Other: Modbus protocol, MatLab, C++
