Job Title: Senior Legal Counsel (Solicitor)

Location: Servia (Hybrid Working)

Summary:

You will be responsible for delivery of legal, regulatory and compliance services with a specific focus on the tools, templates and training for our for the legal team that supports 30+ countries across Europe. You will operate as a key business partner to provide strategic support and advice, working on a wide range of commercial and compliance matters.

This role supports a flexible hybrid model with some working from home options available. You should expect occasional travel to other locations in Europe as business need is determined. Travel may include some overnight stays.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Preparing tools for the European Legal Team to aid in the provision of legal support by the lawyers supporting the 30+ countries in the region
  • Preparing templates for various situations/relationships for use across the region
  • Proactively identify, define, and mitigate risks by contributing to and implementing policies and procedures
  • Helping to ensure compliance with applicable laws and Group policies
  • Providing training to the legal team in the region on the tools prepared as part of the role
  • Researching, analysing, and interpreting proposed and existing laws, statutes and regulations
  • Preparing, reviewing and supporting negotiations of contracts for the strategic accounts in the European region
  • Other local legal support in business-related areas of expertise, particularly in the areas of civil law and software, as reasonably required by Legal Management


Skills and Attributes:
  • A fully qualified lawyer authorized to practice in the EU with a Master/Bachelor of Laws degree or equivalent and at least 8 years' relevant PQE in commercial law
  • Fluent in English (written and verbal) with great technological skills
  • Worked in an international company and has a proven track record operating in an inhouse environment
  • Work proactively and closely with the business stakeholders, to identify and analyse critical commercial and legal issues
  • Apply legal expertise to deliver solutions
  • Confident with fantastic interpersonal skills, commercially minded, highly organized and able to work effectively in teams
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to work independently and manage large volumes of work
