Senior IT Infrastructure Operations Engineer

• Mission:

Comprehensive IT Infrastructure Management : Encompasses all processes related to requirements, analysis, planning, design, deployment, and ongoing operations management and technical support of IT Infrastructure and services at SEMV.

• Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Development:

Adhere to group and local strategies and architectures for IT infrastructures, aligning IT infrastructure strategy with business goals and objectives.

Identify and evaluate new technologies to improve infrastructure performance and efficiency to propose to management and key business stakeholders.

Operational Management:

Manage incident, problem, and improve processes.

Oversee output management, job scheduling, backup, and restore operations.

Monitor and manage network, system, database, firewall and storage.

Ensure effective applications and Middleware (e.g., ERP Engine) monitoring and management.

Reliability and Stability:

Ensure the continued reliability, availability, and stability of the infrastructure.

Independently or collaboratively troubleshoot and solve complex problems.

Ensure IT security standards of the site(s) complying with group standards.

Ensure IT operations are fully compliant to business continuity plans.

Technical Solutions:

Build on group templates, localize and implement specific solutions to meet technical requirements.

Lead technical assessments and infrastructure upgrades.

Project Management:

Lead and manage IT infrastructure projects from inception to completion.

Develop detailed project plans, including scope, objectives, timelines, and resource allocation.

Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions.

Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure project alignment with business goals.

Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and are completed on time and within budget.

Team Leadership:

Supervise and mentor professional level employees (typically entry or experienced level) and para-professional employees.

Set clear goals and objectives for team members to achieve operational and project results.

Facilitate regular team meetings to track progress, share updates, and address concerns.

Foster a collaborative and high-performance team culture.

Promote continuous learning and professional development within the team.

Qualifications

• Candidates at least 5 years experience managing the IT operation & infrastructure at company more than 2 sites
• HCMC University of Technology or HCMC University of natural & sciences in IT field is preferrable.
• Project Management: Proven experience in managing IT infrastructure projects, including planning, execution, and delivery.
• Leadership: Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and guide a team towards achieving common goals.
• Technical Expertise: Having both a large wealth of hands-on experiences and deep understandings of IT infrastructure architectures and components.
• Problem-solving: Capable of handling complex technical and operational challenges under high pressures.
• Communication: Good communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with team members, stakeholders, and vendors.
• Good English communication & ability/experience in interacting with regional team
