Mission :

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Field Test Coordinator to work closely with colleagues from other disciplines and business sectors arranging, co-ordinating and managing field tests of Schneider Electric Connected Offers Home Energy Management Systems (HEMS).

This role requires excellent project management, organisational and communication skills.

This is a new role. In this role you will be hands on, taking ownership of field test campaigns and helping ensure that best practice is implemented for the conduct, tracking and governance of those field test campaigns. This role requires proven experience organising complex tasks distributed across multiple geographic territories along with a strong sense of ownership and pride in your performance, the performance of others and its impact on the product success.

Key Responsibilities :
  • Work closely with the release management and field test leader to help define, organise and progress field tests across multiple countries by producing relevant plans. This includes planning and arranging hardware delivery and installation requirements for members of the field test community, possibly in different countries
  • Ensure adequate resourcing is planned and available for the field test campaign, including human and material resources and work closely with the quality team/customer support team to refine and optimise the Field Test defect reporting and tracking process.
  • Plan hardware delivery to members of the field test community well ahead of the planned "start of field test" date to ensure all participants have the hardware needed to enable them to participate fully and productively in the field test.
  • Collaborate closely with the release management team to ensure key dates are aligned and synchronised and releases deployed in a timely manner.
  • Develop a field test plan covering the scope of the field test activity, specify the required actions of the field test participants and co-ordinate/host regular progress tracking reviews with participants.
  • Collating results from the field test activity to evaluate the effectiveness by preparing a summary report from the field test that can be shared and discussed with key business stakeholders. This will include feeding into key decision-making activities such as the decision to deploy to the public the software and hardware that has completed the field test campaign.

Skills and attributes:
  • In this role you will be dealing with complexity, analysing information, implementing the agreed activities for the specific field test in question as well as co-ordinating with members of the field test group and business/Engineering and Marketing stakeholders.
  • You will own the day-to-day progression of field test activities and be able to report on the progress of the field test before, during and after the field test campaign. To achieve that you will require excellent organisational, communication and time management skills along with hands on practical experience of balancing multiple concurrent tasks throughout the phases of the field test activity.
  • To thrive in this key role you will need the ability to work positively with a wide range of individuals with a "can do" spirit and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision and demonstrate a strong sense of ownership and pride in your performance, that of other members of the team and its impact on the success of the delivery.
  • You will be a critical thinker with excellent problem-solving skills and demonstrate forethought to pre-empt and avoid risks and be a natural communicator.
  • You will naturally adopt a data-driven, systematic and methodical approach to planning and executing the field test camapaign as well as co-ordinating problem investigation and resolution and reporting.
  • You will have proven experience in roles requiring a high level of organisation, planning ahead, taking ownership and effective communication.
  • To thrive in this role you will be driven to continually improve the software quality of the releases to the end customer, to refine the field test process and you will pursue a data-driven approach to the reporting phase of the field test campaign.
  • You will have previously demonstrated effective analytical and organisational skills
  • Project Management experience or training would be advantageous.
  • Fluency in English is required.

Education/Qualifications:
  • You will possess a Degree in a relevant subject or have practical relevant experience.
