Main responsibilities:
  • Install electrical components on customer sites.
  • Diagnose and repair troubled equipment at our customers' sites.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on electrical equipment.
  • Provide estimates of our products and services as required.
  • Order parts and track delivery.
  • Maintain, repair, modernize and provide technical support for the range of products offered by Schneider Electric in the workshop and at customer sites.
  • Provide training sessions to internal and external customers on the use and care of our products.
  • Carry out warranty and recall repairs on our products.
  • Perform tests, calibrations, adjustments, corrections and verifications on Schneider Electric products.
  • Manufacture and commission different types of equipment using tools such as computers and test benches, according to plans and specifications.
  • Analyze electrical installations to determine the causes of problems and establish solutions using product technical manuals.
  • Participate in consultations with engineering groups to find solutions to customer problems.
  • Report customer suggestions for improving product design.
  • Implement design changes and support customers.
  • Carry out commissioning on various Schneider products according to requested specifications.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with customers across Schneider Electric's entire offering.
  • Maintain the tools, documentation and equipment provided to carry out the task.
  • Write service reports for internal and external customers.

Qualifications and skills required:

  • Good knowledge of the application and use of low- and medium-voltage electrical equipment.
  • Minimum 10 years' experience in the field.
  • College, university or technical equivalent.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Familiar with the use of a computer and Windows software.
  • A strong focus on customer satisfaction and teamwork.
  • Bilingual French/English would be an asset.
  • Flexible working hours and travel. (overtime and travel)
