Senior Field Service Engineer
Location: Field-based (with Coventry as the central office)
Travel: 60-70% (primarily UK, occasional trips to Ireland)
We are looking for an experienced Senior Field Service Engineer to join our team at Schneider Electric. In this role, you'll provide critical technical support to customers, working on cutting-edge Industrial Automation products and related technologies. If you have a solid background in motion control, robotics, PLCs, and drives, this role is for you.
What You'll Do:
- Perform installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on customer equipment.
- Support projects like PLC and drive upgrades, and deliver training courses (if qualified).
- Conduct preventative and corrective maintenance across a range of Schneider Electric equipment.
- Provide on-site support for ad hoc customer issues and contract work.
- Identify and communicate sales opportunities during service interventions.

What We're Looking For:
- Previous technical service experience, with expertise in motion control, robotics, and drives.
- Hands-on experience with PLCs, HMIs, and Industrial Automation systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to tackle complex technical challenges.
- Excellent communication skills for presenting information and responding to customer queries.
- Ability to travel frequently (day trips and occasional overnight stays).
- A valid driver's license is required.
