We are looking for an exceptional engineering lead to manage and drive first generation of solar/storage and EV portfolio product line based out of North America. In this position, the successful candidate will provide oversight and guidance to talented HW, FW, SW and validation team to sustain the exiting offers.

What will you do?
  • Serve as the technical lead to spearhead sustaining team of HW, FW, SW, compliance, validation, and field team to support maintaining and adapting existing offers per market needs .
  • Lead, guide, and support all quality issues, technical questions, part obsolescence and field service support from initiation to closure using quantitative approach and with required support from cross function teams.
  • Coordinate across multiple disciplines (HW, FW, SW, Mechanical, and Compliance) to define cope and deliverables for each product change request (PCRs)
  • Responsible for providing technical guidance on planning and execution of new feature development/roadmap. Collaborate with offer management and PMO for effective planning and reporting.
  • Responsible for leading and driving the effort to perform urgent response analysis and root cause /containment analysis, support resolving and implementing all product related bug fixes, and design modifications.
  • Partner with HW and SW validation team to define and develop regression test, stress test and automated tests for fast turn around time and ensure quality.
  • Leading and conducting all technical reviews, Go/No Go decision for each product change requests (PCRs)
  • Define, develop strategy, best practices , processes, and tools for sustaining engineering with support from PMO.


What qualifications will make you successful?

  • 10 + years of hand-on engineering experience with a background in Electrical Engineering (preferred) or Mechanical Engineering
  • 5 + years of leadership experience with demonstrated product development.
  • Attention to details, critical and analytical thinker, strong problem-solving skill , be proactive and decisive in a face paced work environment.
  • Strong multi-disciplinary experience across HW, Embedded Systems, FW, and Mechanical Engineering.
  • Previous experience in dynamic, multi-time zone work environments
  • Excellent communication skills . Driven and able to complete tasks autonomously and under pressure.
  • Knowledge of agile methodology and JIRA/Confluence.


The compensation range for this full-time position, which includes base pay and short-term incentive, is CAD $130,000-$190,000 for candidates who are B.C. residents. Our salary ranges are determined by including roles of similar responsibility and level. Within the salary range, individual pay is determined by several factors including performance, knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
