Senior DfSR Practitioner Leader

Mission

The position is responsible for practicing and applying Design Reliability and Robustness processes, tools, software across several squads in its line of business or in its Hub to ensure that Schneider Electric products and solutions are designed to be safe, robust and reliable. This role is managing at a country or cluster of sites within an entity / LoB

Main Responsibilities:

  • Understand and promote the business' DfSR of their squads
  • Build the adoption of the key stakeholders on the business' DfSR of their squads
  • Assess and identify the critical elements of the offer at design level (system, subsystem, assembly, component)); Work with R&D closely to ensure the design and implementation of safety and reliability features in our products
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments and failure mode analysis to identify potential safety and reliability issue . Put together the key drivers of a logical DfSR risk assessment plan based on the risk level for the offer from safety, robustness and reliability perspective
  • Develop, execute, and report DfSR plan on a regular basis
  • Train and coach design engineering community with DfSR trainings, methods and tools to reach Robustness and Reliability targets
  • Coach practitioners, R&D teams in a design hub or a region on best practices in safety and reliability design
  • Compliance: Ensure all products meet relevant safety standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Deploy training on DfSR principles and methodologies
  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of safety and reliability processes, assessments, and improvements .

Who will you report to?
  • You will report to the Offer & Project Quality Senior Manager. This role is a hybrid position. You are required to report to the Foxboro, MA office at least 3 days a week.

What qualifications will make you successful for this role?
  • Education: 4 years Bachelor degree or 5 years Post Graduate degree / Master in Mechanical or Electrical or Electronics of Firmware Engineering, Computer Science, Statistics, Higher degrees especially in Reliability engineering is a strong PLUS
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in engineering or quality field
  • 5+ years of eperience in Design for reliability (DfSS, DfSR), power management, electronics , electromechanical system
  • Ideally an Electrifier L1 (minimum) in DfSR subdomain within CSQ domain
  • Certified DFSS Black Belt internally at a leading company
  • Certified Reliability Engineer (CRE) at minimum or internally certified Reliability expert.
  • Experience with p-diagram driven DFMEA development
  • Advanced working level experience with Reliasoft and Minitab
  • Experience working in Agile Product Development environment
  • Strong Collaboration ability: Work closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, manufacturing, and quality assurance to integrate safety and reliability into all stages of product development.
  • Customer oriented mindset, including Customer application knowledge
  • Intercultural skills and experience
  • Ability to mobilize and build cross-functional activities
  • Coaching skills is a plus
