About the role
We are looking for a passionate Senior Design & Architecture Engineer to join our Smart Building Solutions team, located in Uccle, Brussels, Belgium. You will play a crucial role in contributing to Schneider Electric's growth plan by integrating our advanced Building Management Systems (BMS) into smart buildings. These systems provide insights and control to end-users while optimizing energy usage, enhancing well-being, and improving maintenance services.

Your mission
- Support Integration: Assist our ecoXpert partners in integrating our solutions into smart buildings.
- Sales Assistance: Collaborate with our sales team to explain and promote our Smart Building Automation products, including software, controllers, touchscreens, sensors, and actuators.
- Technical Solutions: Capture and understand project needs, define technical solutions for complex and integrated projects, identify technical risks, and optimize overall technical proposals.
- Technical Support: Provide deep product and application knowledge to help customers design, configure, and implement Schneider products and solutions.
Key responsibilities
- Promote Smart Building Solutions and design architectures.
- Conduct workshops, training sessions, and quality audits.
- Guide engineering and programming phases to ensure optimal design and standards adherence.
- Address customer support needs, resolve issues, and escalate unresolved problems.
- Provide feedback, log support requests in CRM, and follow up to ensure functionality.
- Maintain professional relationships and develop expertise in integrated BMS and solutions (HVAC, lighting, fire, security, BACNet, KNX, APIs, web services).
Required qualifications and skills
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in the role.
- Education: Minimum Bachelor's Degree in an engineering discipline.
- Languages: Fluency in Dutch and Proficiency in French and/or English.
- Technical Skills: Good understanding of automation products (controllers, touchscreens, variable speed drives), IT networks, and cybersecurity.
- Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to handle multiple demands, prioritize tasks effectively, and work towards individual and team goals. Flexibility and quick learning ability are essential.
