Mission :

Join us as a Category Buyer and play a pivotal role in driving procurement excellence for our European operations. You'll take the lead in optimizing the sourcing of specific parts and products, focusing on plastic injection molding by managing several suppliers. Your expertise will be crucial in nurturing strong supplier relationships, driving continuous development, and ensuring flawless execution of our procurement plans. Be at the forefront of our industrial strategy as you spearhead the implementation of the category strategy across the region, shaping the Annual Procurement Operation Plan (APOP) for impactful results. Your tasks and responsibilities will include:
  • Ensure the operational relationships with allocated suppliers and drive sustainable competition into the supplier panel
  • Manage the Request for Quotations and offers selection in consistency with the category strategy
  • Lead concentration plan on targeted suppliers while monitoring and eliminating business risks related to suppliers/supply
  • Lead negotiations with strong preparation upfront (benchmark, Should cost, scenarios...)
  • Identify & promote Technical productivities (Quality Value Engineering and Change of Supplier) influencing related stake holders (Business Unit, Material Productivity Leaders, Suppliers)
  • Whenever bearing a role of SSL (Schneider Supplier Leader), lead a global approach (Global negotiation, Should Cost approach and Lean initiatives for allocated suppliers)
  • Contribute to the purchasing database/tools updates by providing necessary information to Pole Category Manager / Regional Category Manager / Global Procurement Services, etc.
  • Be the first escalation level for supplier crisis management
  • Travelling time is estimated at 30%


Experience and skills we are looking for:
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Economics or a related field.
  • High level of Influence, negotiation & convincing skills
  • Great agility & creativity to sold problem quickly and analytical skills
  • Fast learner and have an open-minded attitude, looking for opportunities to improve your leadership skills
  • Ability to navigate in a complex and agile environment
  • Project management
  • Fluent English language knowledge, both written and spoken
