What will you do?

As a Senior Account Manager your role is to manage and promote mainly Medium Voltage products, equipment, and solutions of the Power System division as well as grow the field services business of existing installed base in line with the commercial strategy defined by the Country GM. As specialized sales you will be responsible for executing accounts plans, Go-to-Market-strategies and channels to grow Power System and Field Service business with our partners and clients. You will also seek and manage project opportunities, being accountable for the negotiation and closing of the deals to grow profitably. Besides, you will ensure that the business is done in full compliance with local laws & regulations and company's Principles of Responsibility, policies, guidelines & processes

Your responsibilities :
  • Work as a true sales hunter, generating and following up on leads and creating interest in Schneider Electric's offerings not limited to MV equipments in both greenfield and brownfield(retrofit/upgrade).
  • Achieve sales growth by developing positive relationships with clients, gaining a detailed understanding of their requirements, challenges, and strategic direction.
  • Work hand-in-hand with Field Service Representative to facilitate technical discussions with customers to influence and develop a detailed specification to SE's advantage.
  • Prepare sales quotations and proposals by liaising with factory, engineering team and relevant business unit.
  • Act as Project Manager for key projects with clients.
  • Effectively negotiate and close new business opportunities to deliver growth in both sales and gross margin.
  • Work with FSR to ensure smooth end-to-end project delivery which includes installation and commissioning as well as good after sales service such as troubleshooting.
  • Establish customer intimacy through connections at all required levels of customer organisation.
  • Explore all growing customer segment (aligned with our growth plan) and cover all ecosystem from consultants, contractors, SI to end users.
  • Manage customer responsiveness and overall customer satisfaction. Keep regular contacts with customer to ensure satisfaction before and after execution.
  • C oordinate trainings and seminars for partners and end-users frequently to build strong rapport and to influence their specifications.
  • Work closely with colleagues in the other division/department within country organization to further align and maximize the overall commercial & delivery effectiveness.
  • Routinely use the company's CRM system and other offline tools to ensure all accounts, contacts, sales and project/tender information are accurate and visible.
  • Prepare and present monthly sales update and forecast for the business including key initiatives.


What qualifications will make you successful for this role?
  • A completed technical degree preferably in Electrical Engineering;
  • Commercial profile with technical experience in solution sales environment, deal closing, and project bids/proposals including costing and estimation. Technical candidates with sales interest/capabilities are also welcomed.
  • Ability to develop a winning strategy, drive end user specification and displace the competition;
  • Ability to understand and apply industry/market knowledge (macro drivers, significant trends, strategic direction) in client communication and dialog;
  • Strong communication skills to be effective in a cross-cultural environment to foster collaboration toward a common goal especially in field service business which requires a broad range of offers from different BU.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of products, softwares, services and solutions that are most important to critical MV installations for new projects as well as field service/retrofit business in existing installed base
  • Experience in managing complex projects to provide unique solutions to suit customer requirements;
  • Very good in written and spoken English and Bahasa. Other Asian languages are added advantage.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
