What will you do?

This Security Access Controls Program Manager position is typically held by an individual with 6+ years' experience as a Project Manager, with at least 10+ years' of industry experience. The Program Manager has the responsibility for leading a group of Project Managers on behalf of the Operations Manager and successful delivery of projects that are a subset of the overall operations portfolio. Program Managers are assigned direct reporting responsibility for Project Managers in their team, inclusive of all performance and development goals and planning. Program Manager responsibilities are similar to that of the Operations Manager, overseeing a part of the Project Management group, and is a direct report into the Operations Manager.

Responsibilities Include:
  • Portfolio Management: Ensure all projects within your Project Management team are completed to meet company & customer expectations (safely, on time, on budget, with high customer satisfaction)
  • Maintain net zero GM variance on assigned project portfolio. Ensure all projects are at or below the working capital branch goal.
  • Ensure all projects are executed in compliance with CPP.B & ISO requirements
  • Interview, hire, train, mentor, evaluate, and performance manage Project Managers
  • Work with Project Managers to identify project risks such as deviations from budget or schedule, and help oversee customer or subcontractor escalations, assist with conflict resolution
  • Attend project meetings and/ or conduct customer visits as needed to maintain senior manager contacts with customers.
  • Assist the Operations Manager with the coordination of resources and budgets as needed, including training, scheduling, and establishing future needs through manpower forecasts
  • Assist project managers in the forecasting of needs for equipment, materials, personnel, revenue, and job costs for all phases of a project. Manage revenue, expenses, and cash management for all projects in the designated team
  • Ensure all projects have a 100% safe work record and proper use of PPE always
  • Contribute to the development of the division and department through career path planning of employees


What skills and capabilities will make you successful?
  • Four (4) year Engineering/technical degree or equivalent work experience
  • Experience in the area of Security project installation, years' experience as a Project Engineer, or combined years of system application engineering or technician experience
  • Experience leading a project team, coaching and mentoring Project Engineers and new Project Managers.
  • Must have experience in access control, video surveillance, and security system

*Required certification(s) to be completed within the first year in the role
  • PMDP and Schneider Associate Project Manager (employee who do not have PMP)
  • Project Management Professional (PMI)
