What will you do?

We are looking for a dynamic and results-driven Sales Representative for selling our ASCO products & solutions to customers located within the Greater Toronto Area. The ASCO portfolio includes automatic transfer switches, standby power transfer solutions, and associated services.

  • Implement sales strategies and execute action plans to maximize sales
  • Track and influence projects from pre-design stage to Preventive maintenance stage.
  • Identify & capitalize on opportunities for the sale of ASCO products, solutions and services
  • Develop new sales opportunities and address the complex needs of customers across all ASCO products
  • Gain an understanding of all accounts needs, and key business drivers. Apply this understanding to develop and propose solutions that address these needs.
  • Understanding of building electrical distributions systems and how to apply ASCO products
  • Work with consulting engineers to assist with system design and influence specifications
  • Prospect, identify, and qualify potential sales opportunities
  • Cultivate, build and maintain long-term relationships with customers and key partners at all levels
  • Execute and maintain a monthly revenue forecast; track and maintain sales opportunities

What qualifications will make you successful for this role?

  • Engineering or Commercial degree/diploma
  • 5+ years sales experience of similar products or electrical distribution
  • A "hunter" personality with a drive to reach decision makers
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation & communication skills
  • Strong planning, problem-solving and negotiation and organizational skills
  • Proven ability to communicate technical information to a wide audience
  • Demonstrated ability to handle complex selling situations
