About the role:

What you will do:

The Distribution Intern serves as a point of contact to provide support to the distribution team. We are looking for a highly motivated student with an interest in sales and marketing fields. This is an excellent opportunity for a student of economics to take first steps into the corporate world with Schneider and discover the challenges of the distribution field with wider insight into sales and marketing.

We need our future intern's support in the following areas:
  • Supporting Key Account Manager with the management of DIY channels (for example: Bauhaus, OBI, Praktiker)
  • Assistance and support with (DO/Retail) events: participation in event organization and coordination, collaboration with partners and Communication Specialist
    Development goal: Seeking out arising opportunities with Schneider presence agreed with the Key Account Manager
  • Supporting Loyalty Program projects:
    • Organizing potential opportunities recommended by the Key Account Manager
    • Discussing these opportunities with the Channel Manager
    • Carry out these projects
      Development goal: learn about and support our partners' programs for electricians and to seeking out opportunities for collaboration
  • Promoting the DO Marketing Development Fund:
    • Supporting the Key Account Manager with project planning (partner visits, development of proposals)
    • Conducting the execution with the involvement of Key Account Manager and Channel Manager
    • Contacting suppliers, coordinating delivery
    • Administrative support in the system, strict follow up based on year timeline: in time implementation of the Joint Business Plan with Key Account Manager's assistance, follow up of fee requests, coordination with sales assistant
    • Development goal: know partners' marketing opportunities (online and offline) and collaborate to maximize them
  • Motivational platform project management (scoreboard):
    • Supporting the Key Account Manager with project planning (developing partners' motivations (value proposition, consultation with the agency, collection of ideas)
    • Assistance with implementation with the involvement of Key Account Manager and Channel Manager
    • Ex-post administration of the point settlements
  • Supporting the Point of Sales audit process:
    • Checking store photos, placements, preparing reports
    • Checking stockouts and inventories with sales assistants and product managers
    • Supporting the 2024 rack refurbishment project process


What we need from you:

  • Ongoing studies in a university in Hungary; economic/engineering manager field
  • Possible commitment for at least 1 year with minimum 1-year active student status
  • Strong English and Hungarian language knowledge are must haves (both fluent speaking and writing)
  • You are project-oriented and have effective problem-solving skills
  • You have confident digital skills, knowledge and experience with MS Office, MS Teams, Excel (knowledge of basic formulas, able to work with data)
  • You have strong interest in sales and marketing fields
  • You have great organization, communication skills with proactive attitude
  • As soft skills we require team spirit and interpersonal skills: collaboration and cooperation skills with internal and external organization


What we offer:

  • Flexible and hybrid working schedule: minimum 30, ideally 30-40 hours/week, with a possibility of home office
  • You can start as soon as possible: we are looking forward for you to join our team!
  • Working from home is possible, but please note that office presence can also be required (especially for training and specific projects)
  • Gross salary: 2000 HUF/hour
