In UK and Ireland, Schneider Electric is the leader in energy management through our products, systems, and services. Our business model runs across four sectors; sustainable buildings, data centres, industry, and infrastructure. This role will lead the future vision of our sales strategy to reach new and existing customers across these sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Business VPs in Sales, Finance, Strategy & HR to design and implement the optimum sales incentive plan by setting up the right KPIs to deliver profitable growth.
  • Design and implement the sales model. Schneider Electric in UK and Ireland is a 1B turnover company and we have exciting plans to grow our offering to existing and new customers. You will work with Business VPs on designing the best sales models and coverage by customer type to maximise customer impact and revenue generation while delivering recurring cost efficiencies.
  • Manage and establish pipeline of projects with support of the Data Office. You will lead the strategy for customer project pipeline creation ensuring the sales teams have the appropriate tools and insights to maximise revenue with targeted customers and segments.
  • Implement sales information system transformation. Together with the customer operations team, you will define the need for new sales tools and optimise the existing one. You will ensure correct deployment and usage of systems across all sales teams. You will drive the quality of sales data within the systems (BFO, BFS, Greenberry)
  • Participate and challenge transversal processes. As Sales Excellence Director, you will be involved in sales workforce planning, competition follow up, market surveys etc. and you will be expected to deliver insights while constructively collaborating with your leadership peers and current practices.
  • Reporting directly to the VP Global Marketing & Sales Excellence, you will be cooperating with the sales community, and you will be the lead of the commercial board, fostering collaborative exchanges between the sales leaders (cross selling, best practices, optimisation...)
  • Experience in this industry is not essential once the candidate has significant sales and sales excellence experience together with the desire to deploy the best sales structure for this business. This role involves regular interaction with the CFO and Zone President as well as fellow executive committee members and sales leaders; there is potential to influence the future company direction and grow in your career.

Skills and attributes:

  • Extensive experiences in sales, sales leadership, and sales strategy
  • Proven commercial record of accomplishment.
  • Experience in sales as an individual contributor before gaining strong sales leadership experience is essential.
  • Experience in sales strategy and excellence is essential - this candidate must have experience designing and leading sales strategy across sales teams and implementing best practice sales operations across sales functions. This candidate must have both sales strategy and operations experience as well as previous sales and sales leadership experience.
  • Deep understanding of business models, strategy, market practices, business drivers, processes, systems, culture, and stakeholders
  • Ability to build a compelling story using data and evidence to influence and convince.
  • A strong ability to foster collaboration and be a strong networker to ease decision making process among teams, by being trusted advisor and facilitating change.
  • Desire to achieve sustainable results by effectively influencing stakeholders to achieve business results in alignment with ethical principles and compliance.
  • This candidate should have people management experience (including managing managers) with a passion for building teams. This role involves people managing the Head of Inside Sales and building a small team of Sales Excellence individuals.
  • A passion to network externally - understands the market risks and opportunities and collaborate with customers and local agencies to influence change.
