Sales Engineer - Industrial Automation

As a Sales Engineer-Industrial Automation, you will be instrumental in driving the sales and promotion of Schneider Electric's cutting-edge Industrial Automation, VSD's, solutions and support within your assigned sales territory. Your role will be pivotal in supporting business growth and ensuring profitability. Reporting to the National Sales Manager of our Industry segment vertical, this position, based in our Auckland office, offers the opportunity to make a significant impact and enjoy a flexible work arrangement, including at least 2 office days. We are committed to making it work for you!

What You Will Do

  • Maintain and service existing business while actively pursuing new opportunities to fuel continuous company growth
  • Address customer needs for all Schneider Industry products, Ecostruxure Plant solutions, and services/support in the designated sales territory
  • Promptly follow up on sales leads generated by marketing/digital activities
  • Identify projects in the designated sales territory and spearhead bids to optimize success
  • Engage in trade shows, conferences, and other marketing events
  • Manage relationships with End Users, Consultants, and Large Contractors throughout your region
  • Provide comprehensive market feedback on industry activity

You are someone who thrives on technological innovation and excels in solving challenges within dynamic environments. You are focused, collaborative, and deeply passionate about your work.

  • Experienced Industrial Electrician and/or Controls Systems Engineer
  • Sales Engineer experience desired but not essential
  • A keen interest in Industrial Automation/Software and Digital Transformation
  • Genuine commitment to enhancing customer satisfaction and engagement
  • A team player with an appetite for learning
