Mission :

This is a new role leading a team in the key areas of release management and field trials for the Connected Offers Schneider Home Energy Management System (HEMS) platforms. In this role you will own the Release Management and Field Trial disciplines. In collaboration with the sub-chapter lead you will have a high-degree of autonomy to define, refine and organise the release management processes and those around field trials that span a range of geographic territories. This is an exciting role for a natural communicator within a dynamic and rapidly evolving business. This role requires proven experience as a leader, developing and growing teams, working at a strategic level and managing multiple parallel activity streams. This role would be ideal for someone with a Programme Management background working in or looking to move into a dynamic, engineering delivery focused role.

Key Responsibilities :
  • Organising and planning Release Management and Field Test processes, timelines and resources to ensure efefctive delivery of the relevant discipline.
  • Developing and growing the team capabilities and competency in the areas of Release Management and Field Test and setting long-term goals for those areas.
  • Developing an evaluation method to assess strengths and identifying areas for improvement in the Release Management and Field Test disciplines
  • Managing teams with a diverse array of talents and responsibilities to ensure effective performance in the two key areas of Release Management and Field Test.
  • Collaborating with key stakeholders to build strong collaborative relationships and ensure effective, timely communication that is easy and transparent regarding issues
  • For Field Test, arranging and co-ordinating the installation of equipment for the field testers in the relevant country

Skills and attributes:
  • In this role you will be planning, organising, scheduling, dealing with complexity, analysing information, implementing the agreed strategies for the Release Management and Field Test disciplines and co-ordinating with business stakeholders.
  • You will own the Release Management and Field Test disciplines of products along with the teams delivering those capabilities. Excellent organisational, communication and time management skills are required to ensure all stakeholders are clear on the content of a given release and that field test are well prepared, ahead of the planned timeline with the necessary hardware, trial objectives and knowledge to execute and effective field test.
  • In this key role within the Engineering department you will need the ability to work positively with a wide range of individuals who interact with the Release Management and Field Test disciplines. Resilience, tact and diplomacy will be needed at times along with an assertive positive attitude.
  • Ideally you will come from a Programme/Project management background where strong leadership and management skills have been developed over a 5-10 year period.
  • Fluency in English is required.
  • To thrive in this role you will be driven to continually work towards improving the release and field test process processes and to develop and grow the teams beyond their current capabilities
  • You will have demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional work teams toward task completion and have strong proven organisational and communication skills.
  • You will have demonstrated effective leadership and analytical skills

Education/Qualifications:
  • You will possess a Degree or post-graduate qualification in Computer Science or an Engineering Discipline or relevant work experience.
