For this U.S. based position, the expected compensation range is $200,320 - $300,480 per year, which includes base pay and short-term incentive.

The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located within the United States. Our salary ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar responsibility and level. Within the salary range, individual pay is determined by several factors including performance, knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Schneider Electric's Digital Grid Business (DG) is offering an outstanding opportunity for an individual who is motivated, dedicated, and organized to assume the role of Regional Solution Center Director. Digital Grid provides enterprise software solutions and services to help utilities manage the entire lifecycle of the grid and enable Grids of the Future. These mission-critical solutions enable grid operators worldwide to deliver safe and reliable power.

This position is responsible for the leadership, direction, tactical facilitation, and strategic implementation of large-scale and complex IT/OT projects and the technical support of projects within the North American (NAM) region. Under the direction of the VP of Global Operations and in collaboration with Sales, and other RSCs, this role is responsible for leading an organization driving the successful execution of the Digital Grid (DG) full turnkey of projects and implementation services portfolio in NAM. This role collaborates closely with his/her colleagues to deliver innovative solutions that support the Digital Grid business growth objectives.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Lead the growth and development of the NAM RSC in alignment with achieving the right revenue mix for Digital Grid.
  • Have a clear plan to optimize the P&L within the RSC and set it on a clear path to support future business growth.
  • Partner with the NAM Sales VP and DG CSM leader to develop and maintain account strategies for customers in the region to increase top-line as well as annual recurring revenue.
  • Support the growth in competence of other regional solution centers by acting as a Center of Excellence for the GIS offering. Provide supporting resources where needed to close expertise gaps.
  • Define and execute core competencies that the RSC will bring to the region with respect to the Digital Grid solutions.
  • Serves as part of the Digital Grid Global Operations Team, contributes to the operational strategy of Digital Grid, and directs his/her Regional Solution Center to improve local capabilities, deliver fast and sustainable growth, executing projects according to CPP methodology on spec, on schedule, on quality and on (under) total project budget, and providing best-in-class support and services.
  • Delivers and takes accountability for end-to-end key project performances measured exclusively through end-to-end upstream CCO gross margin and customer satisfaction.
  • Implement operational strategies to:
    • Implement and mature the Digital Grid delivery model based on multi-techno Regional Solution Centers capable of delivering complex multi-techno projects in their territory of responsibility. Deploy a quality system, and promote continuous improvement based on Root Cause Analysis and customer feedback.
    • Implement Digital Grid global Operations policies, processes, best practices, and tools to enable the collaboration between Regional Solution Centers, Centers of Excellence, High Value Engineering Centers (off shoring), Front Offices and Lines of Business to a) to bid and deliver complex IT projects in effective and efficient ways, b) maintain high level of utilization, c) provide proper oversight/reporting during execution and d) mitigate risks.
    • Ensure customer satisfaction is a top priority throughout the lifecycle of Digital Grid projects.
  • Lead project, tendering (costing), engineering, testing, subject matter experts, support, and service teams to:
    • Prepare competitive tenders (contribute to qualification and bid/no bid decisions, champion lean scoping, risk/opportunity analysis, baselining, and continuous improvement).
    • Support the sales process (participate in local SOCs, advance pipeline, follow S0-S2-P0 gates according to CPP, participate in contract negotiations and promote initiatives to secure orders & increase hit rate, keep customers satisfied and secure positive references.)
    • Deliver projects successfully (on time, with improved end to end margins, higher utilization, and effective rates, positive cashflow, satisfied customers.) according to CPP methodology, utilizing existing project reporting and resource management tools, chair REL4 and contribute to REL5 -DG Global Ops meetings.
    • Support Digital Grid end-users (meet/exceed service level agreements, increase customer retention, improve ARR/asset, reduce Annual Recurrent Costs, provide extended services...)
    • Deploy best in class techniques and collaborate closely with other RSCs to fully utilize resources and leverage Digital Grid global skills/knowledge and lessons learned.
  • Coordinate with other Digital Grid teams (CPO, CTO, Centers of Excellence, other RSCs, Finance) to "bust silos," put customer first, capture new market opportunities and deliver profitable results.
  • Coordinate with Country organizations, Digital Services and Power Systems BU to improve effectiveness and efficiency of our Project Execution and Services/Support process.
  • Become a sponsor for key accounts and strategic projects; manage relationship with major consultants and system integrators in the Region.
  • Recruit, develop and engage talented employees, and build high performance teams that embrace fast change and deliver profitable results.

You will be measured by your ability to establish and improve clear KPIs across the Regional Solution Center. Specifically, within 6 months you will:
  • Build relationships within the team and internal business partners (Regional Solution Centers, Support, Product Management, Product Development & Finance)
  • Establish yourself as an effective leader of the NAM RSC and an excellent partner for external departments.
  • Define and build the optimal organization structure to make the NAM RSC a key pillar of Digital Grid Operations.
  • Build a strong partnership with the commercial organization to achieve commercial success for the NAM organization.
  • Be a strong part of the NAM executive leadership team.
  • Establish a clear resource plan and channel of partners to support project delivery activities.
  • Lead early win process improvement projects to completion.
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, information systems, business administration or a related field, or equivalent work experience
  • Ten or more years of increasing responsibility and complexity in terms of any applicable professional experience; 10 or more years of management experience.
  • Project Management Certification preferred; however, demonstrated experience of ten or more years of program and project management in the delivery of enterprise systems.
  • Experience in deployment of IT/OT complex projects.
  • Experience on delivering international projects and collaborating with multicultural teams.


Skills:

With a background in software project deployment, the Regional Solution Center Director implements policies and controls, leads staff, and works with senior management to provide strategic and tactical advice and direction on program/project execution. The role will define and utilize standardized methodology that identifies priorities and dependencies and keeps projects on time and under total project budget. This role is hands-on when required, while also having the skills required to evaluate and develop strong Program Leaders on his or her team with capabilities that align to the strategy. The Regional Solution Center Director should have superior communication, collaboration, and organizational skills. Having the ability to manage the expectations of senior-level stakeholders and lead teams of all sizes.
