What will you do?
This role is focused on the effective operational delivery of Strategic Customer projects for Digital Buildings and Digital Power Solutions [Digital Power LV & MV and Digital Building monitoring and Controls].
A hands-on customer facing position and the successful candidate must work well with a multi-activities team and interface directly with contractors and end-users regularly. The key requirement is to reduce risk, improve operational delivery and ensure the same customer experience across multiple countries. Support of on-boarding country teams and partners as well as Coaching of the local Project Manager is part of the mission.
The Regional Project Manager will have an excellent working knowledge of the technical and operational environment in which the project deliverables are created and in which they are used.
The Regional Project Manager must be an excellent communicator at all levels both internal and external in the project environment, be proactive and exhibit strong leadership qualities and be able to adapt to a dynamic and geographically disbursed environment.
- Accountable for all customer projects in execution regardless of Digital Buildings or Power focused offer, across the region. Monitors & maintains overview status of all projects.
- Attends all SOC/S1/S2 meetings, critical project monthly reviews and REL reviews etc.
- The responsibility for the day-to-day project execution may/will be delegated to country especially if the project is through a local contractor (e.g., the local project manager is still required to manage project) but the Systems Project Manager aligns and co-ordinates across the multiple projects across the region.
- Responsible for ensuring aligned execution approach, Engineering Standards, documentation etc. across all projects in the region.
- Ensures knowledge transfer / lessons learnt of execution issues to
Schneider Electric teams. - Responsible for meeting the scope, schedule, resource and budget commitments reflected in the Project Management Plan
- Work with the project management team in developing and managing the Project Management Plan within the constraints established and approved by the Project Sponsor.
- Implement or ensure enforcement of change control over the project scope, schedule, resources and budget.
- Manage the timely resolution of issues, including the escalation of issues that are outside of the project team's scope of responsibility.
- Continually identify and proactively manage project risks and issues, ensure execution of corrective action plans up to closure.
- Monitor the project report and report the project status to the management on a regular basis.
- Support tender manager to build a competitive offer.
- The post will require travel outside of home area to sites as required.
What qualifications will make you successful?
- Minimum 8 years experience in the Project management of large and critical buildings with sub-contract installation packages.
- Leadership of project management teams.
- Advantage to have experience in construction project management and Data Centre architecture, Life Sciences, Healthcare etc.
- Experience with deployment of Digital Energy Offer including Energy Automation (BMS Operation / Power Operation / Power Scada Operation, EPAS/ Pacis) and / or WonderWare (Aveva System Platform).
- Experience with deployment of Digital Building & Power offers.
- Multi-language and multi-cultural working experience.
