The Regional Category Manager (RCM) for Silver contact, thermostatic bimetals, clad materials & resistive alloys in charge of defining and implementing the category strategy & relative actions for achieving the category's procurement performance in his or her scope.

Europe Commodity Manager will be tasked with developing and implementing commodity strategies for designated commodities, providing support to all manufacturing sites in Europe & also supporting common parts globally for the products within scope.
He / she will be responsible for executing the commodity strategy to support the business, managing key suppliers, and facilitating interactions between manufacturing clusters, cross-functional stakeholders, and procurement.
The role involves maintaining and developing a panel of Best-in-Class suppliers globally, meeting current business requirements, future growth needs, technological evolutions, supply chain optimization, and achieving annual cost savings targets
The RCM will report directly to the Global Raw Materials Metals Catergory Director
Your missions :
- Meet the strategy objectives set for managing the commodity.
- Consolidate internal needs from Schneider entities (BUs and Operations) and define areas of business development opportunities with Supplier.
- Identify market trends, specificity, and dynamics. Continuously enhance purchasing expertise and knowledge of local and global market trends
- Define & update the market segmentation by technology and/or product range.
- Monitor's technology development in close collaboration internally Advance Technology for Contacts (ATC) and with strategic suppliers
- Lead productivity action plans Own the commercial relationship for key suppliers and serve as the point of contact for problem escalation, issue resolution, and sustainable development among the supply base.
- Agrees on Supplier value proposal definition and multi-year deployment plan.
- Communicate Supplier strategy internally.
- Negotiate with Supplier on behalf of all SE entities including Supplier performance and productivity objectives.
- Lead regular business reviews with the Supplier to monitor operational performance.
- Track KPIs, deliver reports as assigned, and execute comprehensive RFQ processes.
- Organize Quaterly Business Reviews & management meetings with Supplier to monitor strategic plan deployment.
- Manage the communication of all business awards (OCP and OFP) to Supplier, in full coordination with BUs and/or Operations and Category management.
- Lead suppliers initiatives :
- Ability to communicate, organize, and work with supplier C-level Management and their key account team.
- Be accountable for Supplier performance on Productivity, Quality On-time delivery, Competitiveness, Technical or Process Innovation, Planet & Society responsibility, Responsiveness.
- Be accountable for Supplier business development (180M) including working closely with OCP teams.
- Engage appropriate division & cross-functional Resources (ex. SQME / SSCME) launching logistics or quality action plans wherever appropriate)
- Follow up Supplier load level (capacity) and investment plans (ex. Supplier rebalancing initiatives)
- Monitor (and communicate to SE entities) Supplier risk, track and report elementary Supplier performance vs objectives from all Schneider entities.
- Lead sourcing, standardization, spend control, and innovation with suppliers.
- Work with a cross-functional team as the primary contact for the supplier.
Your Profile & skills :
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, or Mechanical or Industrial Engineering is required preferred background in manufacturing process or raw material market.
- 8-10 years of experience in procurement including good negotiation skills & supplier relationship management.
- Fluency in English
- Good communication & intercultural skills & leadership skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
The position is based in Budapest, Hungary.
30% Travel expectations for this position.
