Schneider Electric has an opportunity as a Quality Technician at our Red Oak, TX location.

Your Mission: This position is r esponsib le for quality control at each stage of the FAT factory acceptance test process from receiving inspection, installation, set-up , testing and final inspection of UPS (uninterrupt ible power supply) and interacting with customers during FAT.

What will you do:

  • Enforce compliance with Q uality P olicy and Electrical Safety.
  • Conduct incoming and outgoing product and packaging inspections .
  • P articipate in audits to assure compliance to requirements.
  • Ensure torque and measuring tools and equipment are properly maintained and calibrated .

  • Support F A T area with root cause analysis, preventive and corrective actions through the NCR process , including operation of the MRB area.
  • M aintain the quality inspection procedures , ensuring procedures are current.
  • Actively participate in problem solving of manufacturing quality issues .
  • Support quality metrics and reports including Scrap, FPY
  • Document all quality issues including rework, scrap, repair, etc.
  • Ensure component conformity according engineering drawings via incoming inspection .
  • Participate in continuous improvement of team processes and procedures .
  • Support production / test technicians to check product and part conformity according to specifications in case of quality issue .

Who will you report to?
  • You will report to the Operations and Quality Manager

What qualifications will make you successful for this role?
    • Associate of Science in Electrical Engineering or Technology, Certificate of Completion from a Technical Trade or Advanced Military technical school, High School Degree/GED or equivalent required.
    • 2 Years Manufacturing experience, lean manufacturing knowledge. ASQ certification is a plus.
    • Requires Knowledge of Manufacturing Systems, ERP, UL and ISO9001.
    • Basic knowledge of engineering drawings, ANSI/ASME Y-14.5 Dimensioning and Tolerancing.
    • Experience with high voltage equipment 480 AC and 500 DC a major plus.
    • Good computer skills, including familiarity with M icros oft 365 Apps, SharePoint, TEAMS, Word , Outlook, Excel , OneDrive .
    • Ability to use basic electronic test and measurement equipment, such as DVM's, Digital Power meter, oscilloscopes at mid-level to correctly interpret the results.
    • Abi li ty to use basic hand tools (open wrenches, screw drivers, pliers, and wire cutters).
    • Basic knowledge of Power Electronics.
    • Facilitator skills to drive problem solving and troubleshooting activities , a bility to effectively communicate, both written and oral .


    Physical Requirements:
    • Must be comfortable standing, bending, lifting, and walking without restriction repeatedly over the course of a shift.
    • Must be able to wear steel-toed shoes and follow all safety procedures.
