Schneider Electric is a leading electrical company committed to delivering high-quality products and services to our customers. We are dedicated to continuous improvement and are seeking a motivated Junior Quality & Sustainability Engineer to join our dynamic team, based in the Nashville, TN area.

As a Quality & Sustainability Engineer at Schneider Electric , you will play a vital role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our products through various quality assurance and control measures. You will work under the guidance of senior quality engineers and collaborate with cross-functional teams to uphold our quality standards.

What will you do?

  • Assist in the identification of the CTQ/CTP of the offer through the analysis of statistical control, customer complaints, or internal non-conformities.
  • Work closely with Global business Division and Corporate Sustainability teams to shape and deliver key initiatives, focused on those related to sustainable product and solution design, offers, and marketing communications
  • Support quality inspections and testing of materials and products.
  • Contribute to the analysis of quality data and generation of reports.
  • Participate in root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action processes.
  • Identify critical operations that put the quality of products at risk. Through the review board of "FMEA", PCP, 8D "analyzing the real or potential problems of each process.
  • Aid in the investigation of non-conformances and implementation of corrective measures.
  • Drive implementation of other sustainability initiatives as needed, including regular reporting & executive communication.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and quality awareness programs.
  • Contribute to the development of robust plans to transfer parts/products from facility A to facility B.
  • Participate or lead the quality audits to start and release production.
  • Participate in sustainability meetings to get scope and KPIs for further execution and implementation.
  • Participate in supplier development for sustainability activities/tasks.

What qualifications will make you successful for this role?
  • Masters/ bachelor's degree in engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
  • Passionate about climate change and circular economy; strong subject-matter expertise on issues related to climate change, GHG emissions, circular economy, sustainability
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good understanding of quality control methodologies and tools.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Proficiency in using quality management software and MS Office applications.
  • Eagerness to learn and grow in the field of quality engineering.
