Quality Group Lead - Electrical

Schneider Electric has an opportunity for a Quality Lead in our Fairfield, OH location. You will be primarily accountable for overseeing the hourly quality teams and driving daily goal attainment through leadership, lean principles, and collaboration. You will coordinate the day-to-day quality activities of your team to safely meet the production schedules, volume, cost and quality standards.

This position will be 1st shift hours are 5:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Thursday. Possibility of overtime on Friday and Saturday.

What will you do?

  • Draft quality assurance policies and procedures
  • Assist with Interpreting and implementing quality assurance standards
  • View the implementation and efficiency of quality and inspection systems
  • Plan, conduct and monitor inspection of materials and products to ensure quality of the finished product
  • Investigate customer complaints and non-conformance issues
  • Collect and compile statistical quality data
  • Analyze data to identify areas for improvement in the quality system process
  • Develop, recommend and monitor corrective/preventive actions
  • Identify training needs, develop training strategy, and lead training events to improve quality standards
  • Support on-site audits conducted by external providers
  • Implement appropriate corrective actions from audit findings
  • Monitor risk management activities
  • Responsible for maintaining and updating document management systems
  • Lead SIM meetings, and manage day to day activities for the Quality team
  • Communicate across multiple levels of audiences internally and externally to Fairfield's location and Schneider Electric
  • Model safety for quality team
  • Drive basic root cause analysis
  • Work under tight timelines & pressure
  • Work with supervisors to implement corrective process actions
  • Ownership of quality schedule and ensure team is focused on set targets
  • Strong organization skills

What qualifications will make you successful for this role?
  • Electromechanical Technical Degree or equivalent experience
  • Proven leadership competencies
  • Certifications including Quality Auditor, Quality Engineer, Quality Improvement Associate, Six Sigma preferred
  • Experience with corrective process implementation.
  • Product or industry-specific experience
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and databases, cloud program interaction, utilization of apps and tablets to collect data
  • Knowledge of tools, concepts, and methodologies of QA
