Quality Control Test Inspector

Main responsibilities:

  • Strong ability to test low and medium voltage SE products including Switchgears, Switchboards, Panelboards, Breaker's and MCC's.
  • Ability to work closely with Engineering and identify issues with electrical drawings.
  • Ability to follow ITP's and perform FAT's
  • Maintain Repair/Calibration database
  • Job entries & maintenance of records on database including associated paperwork and time tracking
  • Prepare detailed service and failure records
  • Ability to meet project deadlines and strong focus on customers

Qualifications & Skills required:
  • Technical college education or equivalent formal training in Electrical Engineering Technologies,
  • Possess CET/CTech or Electrician's/ Journeyman designation/license
  • Experience with low and medium voltage equipment
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in testing, troubleshooting & failure analysis of electrical equipment
  • Sound theoretical knowledge and hands-on experience on electrical testing including ability to use High Pot test Set, Current Injector, Megger insulation resistance meter, Multi Meter, Relay Test Set, Corona test Set
  • Validating/correcting existing technical documents including test procedures
  • Capable of managing technical tasks with minimal supervision, technical information, and documentation.
  • Possess strong analytical skills and ability to interpret schematics.
  • Computer proficient
  • Possess strong interpersonal skills, and communication skills (written and oral) to convey technical findings/issues/topics to corresponding parties.
  • Strong organizational skills
