At our local office in Edmonton, Alberta we design and manufacture electrical equipment: Low Voltage Motor Control Centers and Switchboards. The plant is growing and increasing its capacity to satisfy the customer demand.
The Edmonton plant is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join the Plant team as "Quality Control Inspector". The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in various quality control operations and contributing to maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.

Primary Responsibilities
- Realizes simple quality control operations of incoming materials, components, and manufactured products.
- Work consists of application of strict working instructions and fixed operating procedures (no basic training or lengthy experience is required).
- Other duties as assigned.
What do you get to do in this position?
- You will inspect all electrical equipment produced and insure its proper function.
- You will make sure that the equipment is electrically and mechanically safe.
- You will calibrate and maintain test equipment.
- Must be familiar with wiring diagrams and have strong trouble shooting skills.
- Must have the ability to program drives and set up per customer requirements.
- Other duties as assigned.
What qualifications will make you successful?
- Two-Year associate degree in IET, Mechatronics, GET, or related field is required.
- Journeyman Electrician
- Previous Electrical Inspection Experience
This job might be for you if:
- One or more years of experience in electrical assembly or electrical manufacturing environment is considered an asset.
- Ability to read and work to blueprints and schematics.
- Able to multitask and work in a team environment.
- Self-motivated, energetic and capable of working in a very fast paced environment with minimal supervision.
- Strong technical knowledge and experience in a manufacturing work setting.
- Ability to work overtime during the week and on weekends, as required.
- Basic computer skills
- Strong attention to detail
