This role will be part of a singular, high-performing team dedicated to building transformative platform-based solutions powered by AI and data-driven insights. The preferred location is Louisville, Kentucky in a Hybrid.

About the Team
As a Python Developer, you will join a singular, focused team of architects and developers who are pioneering the development of in-house AI multi-agent platforms. These platforms are designed to drive the future of software development by combining AI frameworks and data insights to deliver innovative solutions that meet modern energy and sustainability challenges. We utilize cutting-edge AI frameworks and technology to power our solutions, ensuring we remain at the forefront of the industry.
In this role, you will:
- Contribute to the design, development, and implementation of our in-house AI Multi-Agent Platform, which will underpin the development of the software of the future.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop software solutions addressing energy and sustainability challenges.
- Build, optimize, and maintain APIs and web services to support data-driven applications.
- Develop and implement AI agents and tools to enable advanced decision-making and automation.
- Design and maintain scalable, distributed systems to support multi-agent architectures.
- Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to ensure software solutions align with data-driven insights.
- Process and analyze large datasets, generating actionable insights and enhancing decision-making.
- Automate processes and workflows using Python scripting and AI-powered techniques.
- Work with DevOps practices and tools to streamline deployment and ensure system reliability.
- Optimize code performance, scalability, and maintainability.
- Participate in code reviews to uphold coding standards and AI best practices while ensuring ethical AI considerations.
- Stay up-to-date with advancements in AI, software engineering, and sustainability technologies, integrating these insights into our platform solutions.
- Leveraging AI for Productivity

- Identifying and implementing internal tools, AI frameworks, and automation to streamline team processes and improve efficiency.

Core Qualifications:
- Minimum 3-5 years experience in Software Engineering focused in Python development.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Strong proficiency in Python with experience in frameworks for APIs, data processing, and AI/ML.
- Experience and or knowledge in frameworks such as LlamaIndex, Autogen, Langchain, CrewAI or similar. (Will consider personal or academic projects)
- Solid understanding of object-oriented and functional programming principles.
- Hands-on experience with RESTful API design and development using frameworks like FastAPI.
- Familiarity with building scalable and maintainable architectures for distributed systems.
- Proficiency in working with SQL and NoSQL databases, including schema design and optimization.
- Knowledge of data analysis libraries like Pandas and experience in processing and analyzing large datasets.
- Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration tools (Kubernetes is a bonus).
- Understanding of DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and deployment workflows.
- Strong debugging, optimization, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Experience with AI frameworks and libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit-learn.
- Hands-on experience with multi-agent systems or knowledge of agent-based modeling and simulation.
- Familiarity with natural language processing (NLP) and embeddings (e.g., OpenAI embeddings, vector databases).
- Experience with message brokers like RabbitMQ, Kafka, or other event-driven architectures.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, including their AI/ML services.
- Understanding of sustainability concepts and how technology supports energy and environmental goals.
- Exposure to graph databases and knowledge graphs (Neo4j, AWS Neptune, etc.).
- Experience with OpenTelemetry or other observability tools for distributed systems.
- Familiarity with scripting for automation of routine tasks and processes beyond Python (e.g., Bash, PowerShell).
- Awareness of security best practices, particularly for AI and data handling.
