The North American Labs Organization is mainly focused on North American testing products. It provides new product development validation and verification testing as well as product line engineering tests support for ELM low/medium voltage equipment and components. The team provides testing services focused on electro-mechanical systems, components, automated engineering configuration of systems and the application of electronic devices such as variable speed drives, etc.

In this exciting career you will work closely with new product development Agile teams, planning and executing testing for our future product offers, as well as existing products testing follow up, working closely with product safety, continuous engineering and manufacturing teams.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provides outstanding service for internal and external customers
  • Performs electrical, mechanical, thermal, functional, environmental and accuracy testing
  • Performs verification, validation and qualification testing
  • Develops and implements comprehensive test plans and test cases based on product requirements and use cases in coordination with the testing engineer/technician
  • Collects and prepares samples
  • Collects, prepares and analyzes test data
  • Prepares comprehensive and professional test reports
  • Maintains, calibrates and tests laboratory equipment
  • Knowledge and application of safety procedures and practices for working around on energized equipment having a complete knowledge of the hazards involved
  • Keeps abreast of industry standards and specifications for test methods
  • Fulfills technical missions, with guidance from ATLs team leader to propose/develop solutions in a technical domain
  • Manages the testing team for a given campaign of tests
  • In charge of test campaign execution and test reports in a limited complexity context
  • Makes resources booking
  • May participate in the test plan writing
  • May fill testing requests in a determined testing request platform
  • Works in Verification/Validation environment representing Labs for projects or leading Certification/Qualification planning activities
  • Exposes tests results to counter parts
  • May lead functionally a small team of Test Engineers/Technicians
  • Participates on international Standards requirements for Labs implementation/maintenance

  • Engineering bachelor degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics or Mechatronics
  • Strong electrical and mechanical concepts, terminology and applications
  • Proficiency in English (advanced level) and Spanish
  • Electrical safety, health and environmental knowledge
  • Computer skills including: Microsoft Office, Outlook, Teams, etc.
  • Project management skills (planning, scheduling, leadership, etc.)
  • Professional, reliable and consistent
  • Demonstrated ability and drive to get things done
  • Great documentation and communication skills
  • Enjoys working in a team environment
  • Independent and self-managing
  • High energy and attitude aligned to company values

Additional Experience and Knowledge (as a plus):
  • Experience in validation, verification and qualification testing for low and medium voltage power distribution equipment and components
  • Familiarity with power distribution systems including equipment and components
  • Familiarity with power monitoring and control systems
  • Familiarity with relevant industry standards from NEMA, ANSI, IEC, CSA and UL
  • Use of, 8D and 5S tools
  • Working knowledge of LIMS
