Mission

  • An exciting new opportunity has arisen within our Process Automation (PA) business unit for Technical Leaders with a desire to specialize in Process Automation & Control Project execution.
  • The role will be based in Stezzano / Milano. Availability to travel (internally to Italy or abroad) 40% of the working time is required.
  • The successful candidates will be involved in all aspects of Process Automation and Control

What will you do?
  • Collaborate and shares the responsibility of the project execution with the Project Manager dealing with the technical issues.
  • Lead a team (made of internal or external resources) for the project execution.
  • Support the selection process of external resources by providing specification for RFQ and supporting the technical alignment of quotes.
  • Validate the basic design of systems and, being expert in technology, provides reliable feedback assuring compliance.
  • Coordinate suppliers (of both hardware and software) to match the project schedule and takes under control the progress of activities.
  • Represent the point of contact of the customer's technical team.
  • Be responsible of the quality and the technical compliance of the project and follow up to the project manager.
  • Personally identify and/or collect from the rest of the team any opportunity for variation orders.
  • Analyse risks, solve problems, decompose bottlenecks, and generate solutions.
  • Set up and review requirements to develop efficient and effective solutions together with multi-disciplinary team members.
  • Build strong professional relationships with team members to create a collaborative, supportive environment to achieve optimal team performance and establish positive team morale.
  • Build strong professional relationships with customers (internal and external) to ensure customer satisfaction and Schneider Electric Brand reliability.
  • Effectively communicate with stakeholders (internal and external).
  • Listening and understanding constraints and turning them into improvement opportunities.

What skills and capabilities will make you successful?
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical/automation engineering or High-School diploma in electrical or related field.
  • Technical ability and experience on PLC/and or DCS/or SCADA.
  • Customer Focused to offer solutions and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Modicon/Aveva experience is considered a plus.
  • Experience in software and hardware design for PLC and or DCS systems.
  • A good knowledge of written and spoken English is required as the projects are developed in an international environment.
