Overview: The Material Productivity Leader provides strategic direction and is responsible for the development, leadership, and execution of all initiatives related to direct material cost-out activities in the plant. This role also supports operational relations with suppliers based on strategies defined by the Commodity Management and Procurement departments. Key activities include ensuring adherence to contracts, supporting RFQ processes (including creation and follow-up), and participating in negotiations regarding price definition, product quantity, quality, and logistics. The leader will track and report key elements/data on supplier performance.

  • Lead a project portfolio of cost reduction initiatives for direct materials in the assigned plant.

  • Supplier changes

  • Build and support a robust pipeline of projects through innovative ideas that secure year-over-year productivity.
  • Coach and lead the procurement organization in project management and agile best practices.

  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Ensure the correct deployment of the general Purchasing Strategy for cost reduction initiatives in the cluster.
    • Propose cost reduction projects/ideas (QVE, Rebalancing, etc.) within the defined perimeter, ensuring consistency with Purchasing strategy goals.
    • Contribute to the maintenance of the purchasing database through regular and constant updates of corresponding data.
    • Support the commodity management strategy for supplier consultation and selection, including negotiating and managing contracts with local/specific suppliers (price, lead times, payment terms, inventory levels, etc.).
    • Support and/or lead all activities related to the supply qualification system in the plant according to the defined responsibility matrix.


      Qualifications:
      • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business.
      • 3+ years of proven experience as a Project Manager within Supply Chain or Materials of raw goods.
      • Previous experience in Procurement, Engineering, Manufacturing, or Supply Chain areas.
      • Proactive, dynamic, self-driven, and results-oriented with a passion for achieving results through influence and strong communication skills.
      • Ability to seek solutions beyond personal frame of reference.
      • Availability to travel internationally (Valid Passport and USA Visa).
      • PMP Training.
