Job Title: Project Manager

Location: Plymouth, WFH up to 2 days a week

Mission:

We are looking for a project manager to lead the development of connected smart home projects across both internal and external teams. You will be comfortable working with distributed project teams, engaging frequently with stakeholders across the business and take responsibility for the operational management of development partners. You will be experienced in a mix of conventional and agile development methodologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project planning and tracking, ensuring the relevant deliverables are created and the milestones are taken in a timely and reliable manner
  • Ensuring effective reporting to the Senior Leadership Team
  • Ensuring delivery on time and to budget, keeping key stakeholders abreast of progress and milestones achieved
  • Take operational ownership of sub-contracted development
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement within the team aiming at reducing our Time To Market and improving our planning reliability
  • Provide guidance on best practice, coaching team members on delivery excellence
  • Establish delivery processes that are best suited to the requirements of the business
  • Plan the release cycles and align with the rest of the business

Skills/Attributes:

Mandatory:

Most importantly, and essential, a proactive, practical approach to project management, being able to navigate complex technical projects through the minefield of challenges faced, spotting and resolving problems before they impact the project.

Required:
  • Hardware project delivery experience
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in offer development projects
  • Experience in working in an agile way, scaling and adjusting methodology to suit the project
  • Experience in managing outsourced partners and subcontractors, including both onsite and offsite developers
  • Relevant Engineering degree
