Role Mission

The role of the Enterprise Project Engineer at Schneider Electric is to ensure the seamless integration and execution of Digital Offers into existing major contract customers. The engineer will play a vital role working with account managers to; specify, design and deploy IOT systems to digitally monitor the condition of large scale power, UPS and cooling installations within the data centre sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform installed base surveys and collect necessary information to provision the required digital platform.
  • Coordinate with other SE Field Services Engineers, subcontractors and customers to commission the IT/IOT element of digital services.
  • Proceed to end to end testing and validation to ensure successful connection.
  • Work with Customer Success Managers (CSMs) to liaise with customer project teams and coordinate intrusive installation / maintenance activities.
  • Collaborate with the Connected Service Hub teams to ensure efficient provisioning and operations
  • Review customer electrical distribution network to identify critical assets for condition monitoring.
  • Identify existing Scada, BMS or monitoring systems in place with the customer and assess integrations required.
  • Define the architecture and select appropriate devices (gateways, communication agents) for efficient data retrieval from assets.
  • Support Project Managers and Business Development Managers as the high level technical lead interface with customers, including discussions with C-level stakeholders.
  • Ensure the accurate interface between customer functional needs and the technical capabilities of services.
  • Support customer projects on all connectivity matters, including cybersecurity and analytics.
  • Identify areas for asset management value proposition enhancement through broadened services or increased asset coverage.

About You
  • Electrical biased degree
  • Previous engineering experience ideally with UPS or IoT.
  • Driving Licence
  • Ability to adapt and perform in a fast moving and often changing environment.
  • Passionate about emerging technologies and knowledgeable about equipment communications protocols
  • Proficient in creating technical submissions and tracking projects through completion milestones.
  • Good commercial understanding to ensure that solutions offered reduce total cost of ownership for clients]
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • External client focused mindset with strong listening capability.
  • Accountable, self motivated, and proactive.
