What is the role?
Based in West Chester, Ohio we are now actively recruiting a Production Supervisor. Reporting to the Production Manager, the Production Supervisor has the full responsibility of managing the production lines and teams assigned to his/her area. The Production Supervisor will also contribute to continuous improvement projects.
Key responsibilities will include:
Production Supervisory
- Supervise and optimize production projects in all of its aspects: resources, finance, deadlines, quality, productivity and security
- Perform tool management process: utilization, control, calibration needs and purchasing
- Maintain updated Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and align them with the Schneider Performance System standards (SPS)
- Ensure the plant rules are constantly respected
- Proactively escalate any roadblocks that could interfere in project deliveries by using the processes in place
- Run reports necessary for the management of the projects and the plant

Team Development
- Be a promoter and advocate of the Schneider Electric High Performance Culture
- Maintain the team's competency matrix up to date
- Build and act on the development plan on collaborators
- Manage performance of collaborators
- Regularly communicate with the team and perform documented individual meetings with collaborators on a regular basis
- Manage in an efficient and proactive manner the employees' professional life cycle (hiring and offboarding, payroll, vacation and absences)
- Be a promoter of Health and Safety: daily management, HSE Committee and Monthly Inspection.
Continuous Improvement
- Work closely with the Support Functions on various projects aiming at optimizing our manufacturing capacity.

- Pertinent experience in quality and performance management in an industrial assembly manufacturing environment
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in managing teams

- Solid knowledge of Health and Safety concepts
- Innovative, curious mind and self learner
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing
- Interest in evolving in a changing environment and show solid change management skills
