The Production Planner will be responsible of planning, scheduling and co-coordination of material orders to meet production requirements for Engineered to Order (ETO) Products. Processing ETO Warranty requests, Contract Review, manage Change Order requests, providing External and Internal customer satisfaction through timely response, professional communication, efficient order management, prompt analysis and resolutions to customer issues, follow CPP4S (Customer Projects Process for Service), management of on hand inventories to ensure system data integrity to support ongoing accurate data reporting.
Responsibilities
- Provide professional, efficient and timely service to Customers
- Provide ETO / Project order management based on specifications and customer requirements.
- Ensure ETO project deliverables are met, manage changes to scope, costs and timelines.
- Complete contract review on incoming orders and ensure clean incoming orders.
- Schedule resource for ETO orders based on published lead time, shop loading and shop input.
- Enter project estimate of labor / material and manage Cost Estimate to Actual.
- Compile and release ETO shop packages to Assembly Dept.
- Daily monitoring of Open Order Backlog report for ETO Products, address issues to ensure timely
- shipment of orders.
- Enter and maintain orders in S4/Hanna (SAP) with required information.
- Work closely with Purchasing, Engineering and Assembly to ensure parts availability for product build.
- Attend weekly Production Meeting, providing job status updates, and as necessary expediting inputs to ensure jobs remain on track in meeting promised delivery dates.
- Process return authorization request, monitor credits in work queue, issue credit and resolve disputes.
- Issue packing slips and complete inventory adjustments.
- Monitor job cost, escalate issues, work with Finance providing complete job cost review (Jrun's) and close out process in SMS.
- Maintain optimal inventory levels through proper planning and analysis.
- Review and provide inputs for maintenance of Order Management ISO quality procedures.
- Review and manage negative on hand.
- Open Cases in BFO for end customer warranties and open/manage BFO Customer Request as required.
- Lead and implement process/efficiency improvement projects as necessary.
- Strong focus on Safety and safe work practices

Qualifications and Skills required:
- Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Management, or related field
- Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) accreditation or other relevant certification.
- 3 to 5 years experience in Production Planning (MRP system)
- Expertise in MS Office and SAP applications
- S4/Hanna, AMAPS, SMS knowledge would be an asset
- Excellent organizational skills with ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic
- work environment
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with customers and functional
- departments.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to think "outside the box" to create and explore new opportunities.
