The Software Product Marketing Manager is an experienced collaborator who will play a major role in driving product growth and increasing market awareness for Schneider Electric's growing software portfolio, including Zeigo by Schneider Electric. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies that effectively communicate the value of our products, attract new customers, and retain existing ones. This role requires a blend of creativity, analytical skills, and a deep understanding of our target market and the product's capabilities.

The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker with an entrepreneurial spirit, who enjoys learning and experimenting in an evolving marketplace. You will join a digitally focused marketing team who are champions for helping companies of all sizes tackle sustainability with new software solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Product, Market & Competitive Expertise: Become the expert on our buyers, who are they, how they buy and their key buying criteria. Understand the SaaS and software competitive landscape and identify how best to differentiate our products in this growing space. Become the expert on the product, understanding its capabilities and how they best connect to our target users' needs and problems. Furthermore, develop a deep understanding of sustainability trends and regulations, and how they influence our marketing strategy.
  • Customer-First Approach: Understand user needs to collaborate with the product, marketing and sales team to target varied user personas from large corporations, small-and-medium sized businesses, partners and solution providers. With this customer knowledge, help design marketing campaigns that target our ideal audience with communication and materials to engage their interest and position the product competitively.
  • Value Proposition & Messaging Development: Using customer research and collaborating with cross-functional teams, identify customer pain points and translate them into clear, compelling value propositions that highlight the unique benefits of our software products across our various user personas. Create and maintain a messaging framework that communicates the product's value clearly and consistently across all marketing channels, including website content, sales collateral, and promotional materials.
  • Product Marketing Showcase: Design compelling visual assets to showcase our growing SaaS portfolio and how its features connect to the benefits our users enjoy from using the product. A spirit of curiosity and experimentation is critical as we explore how to engage our users in this evolving space of sustainability software. An eye for design, ability to create crisp value propositions, and to engage and educate through our content is key.
  • User Engagement: Play a critical role in engaging existing users with in-product messages and content to optimize the customer journey. Integrate product marketing into the product development planning with a goal of maintaining active users, increasing user engagement and reducing churn. Design strategies with the product and sales teams to convert free users to paid users or upgraded users, where appropriate.
  • Stakeholder Management & Communication: Engage in constant interaction with internal stakeholders to ensure prompt alignment, timeliness, communication, and flawless execution of all marketing activity. Ensure sales teams are prepared to demonstrate the product together with value-based storytelling for impactful prospect conversations.
  • Measurement and Insights: Apply a test-and-learn approach to all activity. Analyze existing data and historical trends to understand what is working best and adapt quickly, sharing your learnings with the team.

For this U.S. based position, the expected compensation range is $96,000 - $144,000 per year, which includes base pay and short-term incentive.

The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located within the United States. Our salary ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar responsibility and level. Within the salary range, individual pay is determined by several factors including performance, knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Schneider Electric also offers a comprehensive benefits package to support our employees, inclusive of medical (with member reward points), dental, vision, and basic life insurance, Benefit Bucks (credits to apply towards your benefits) flexible work arrangements, paid family leaves, 401(k) + match, well-being and recognition (including service anniversary) programs, 12 holidays per year, 15 days of paid time off per year (pro-rated in the first year of employment based on start date), opportunity to purchase company stock (eligibility depends on start date), and military leave benefits.

Essential skills, qualifications
  • Experience in a software product marketing function, SaaS experience a major plus.
  • Experience and interest in energy or sustainability industries strongly preferred.
  • An aptitude for and skillset in graphic design is particularly desirable. These skills will be used to ensure our assets are effective and compelling for both internal and external use.
  • Proven track record of translating business objectives into innovative and disruptive programs.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Advanced PowerPoint skills preferred.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and budget management skills.
  • Strong project management skills, with experience using workflow management platforms
