The Product Manager Role

We are seeking a strategic and user-focused Product Manager to join our growing team and help lead initiatives that enhance the value proposition for our solar, storage EV charging and heat pump contractor network. Working cross functionally, you'll contribute to growing the number of active contractors on our platform, establishing EnergySage as an indispensable tool for their business in helping them find and build trusted relationships with motivated customers.

The Product Manager is instrumental in driving the success of our company by creating and executing a product roadmap that aligns with both user needs and business goals. In this role, you will work closely with Engineers, Designers, and other stakeholders to translate consumer and market insights into impactful product strategies. Your leadership will directly contribute to shaping the future of our marketplace and advancing the adoption of clean energy solutions.

What You'll Do

  • Drive the Product Vision: Help in developing and maintaining a strategic roadmap that aligns with company goals, user needs, and the broader market landscape.
  • Champion Supplier Needs: Collaborate with stakeholders to understand and prioritize user pain points, ensuring that product development delivers maximum value to both consumers and the business.
  • Facilitate Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with Engineers, Designers, and Product Managers to deliver products that are innovative, user-centric, and aligned with our mission.
  • Drive Outcome-Focused Prioritization: Make informed, data-driven decisions about product features and enhancements to ensure maximum business and user impact.
  • Agile Leadership: Lead the product development process using Agile best practices, facilitating effective sprint planning, backlog grooming, standups, and team retrospectives.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Clearly communicate priorities, trade-offs, and product vision to non-technical and technical stakeholders alike, ensuring alignment across the organization.
  • Measure Success: Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics that inform product decisions and demonstrate the success of your initiatives.

What We Look For
  • 3+ years of experience in product management or ownership, product management, or similar roles with a strong focus on customer-centric product development.
  • Empowered Decision-Making: Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive product decisions based on user feedback, data, and strategic alignment.
  • Strong Agile Competency: Deep understanding of Agile methodologies, with experience leading product teams in an agile environment.
  • Customer-First Mentality: A passion for understanding user needs and delivering products that improve their lives.
  • Good Communication Skills: Ability to communicate product vision, strategy, and requirements with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Collaborative Leadership: Experience working in a collaborative environment, where you've successfully driven alignment and decision-making across diverse teams.

Nice to Have (but not required )
  • Experience working with or developing B2B or B2B SaaS software
  • Data fluency: Experience in using data to drive prioritization, track performance and inform product strategy
