We are looking for a Product Application Engineer (M/W) who works for the EMEA region, reporting to our office in Hoofddorp, Netherlands .

Yo ur meaningful purpose

This is a newly developed position accountable to support at an EMEA level the service events at a Schneider Electric critical data center account.

You will be responsible for the in-depth understanding and technical knowledge pertaining to power supplied equipment and how this equipment functions within the data center.

Normal support will be remote with hands-on site visit and support as required.

This position will share and provide technical instruction and guidance to new and less experienced Field Service Representatives via remote or on-site, as well as analyze malfunctions in equipment and interpret maintenance manuals, using knowledge of systems and electronics to isolate and correct issues.

What will you do?
  • Regional remote support of the local Field Service Representatives in country during commissioning, start-up, warranty, and maintenance.
  • Solve technical issues raised by Field Service Representatives in country.
  • Escalate to other technical support level within the company when needed.
  • Understanding and use of the clients commissioning portals for documentation and processes.
  • Coordination with local, regional, and global service teams for successful execution of client's data centers.
  • Comply with Safety and cyber security policies, practices and procedures.
  • Perform Startup/Commissioning on Schneider Electric's power product.
  • Perform Preventive, scheduled and unscheduled Maintenance on equipment based on critical nature.
  • Analyze and interpret technical procedures, governmental regulations, different problems on our equipment and provide appropriated answer.
  • Analyze and explain reports results to customers and management.
  • Understand scope of work, respect time to perform job and ensure full traceability (change order etc..)
  • Support planners, coordinators, project manager to get good customer site condition understanding.
  • Escalate quality or technical issue detected on field.
  • Advise customers on different opportunities to optimize its install base and create lead generation business opportunities.
  • Perform basic audits of customer's power equipment for upgrades or directed changes by regional teams.
  • Perform Field Services Operations by providing best in class customer experience and promote Schneider Electric signature.

What quali fications will make you successful?
  • Fluent in English.
  • Associate degree or higher in in electronics/electrical/mechanical.
  • At least 6 years of proven experience as a Field Services Representative.
  • High technical capabilities to service, install and repair power supplied equipment, resulting from several years in a similar role.
  • Able to traverse grounds and buildings under construction to inspect infrastructure and equipment installations, start-up, and commissioning.
  • Willing to travel within EMEA up to 20 weeks of the year.
  • Clear communication skills to help support the country service teams.
  • Ability to deal with customers where tact may be required to maintain a continuing harmonious relationship.
