What do you get to do in this position?

The job of a Procurement Upstream Analyst involves working closely with the Category Management and Supply Chain Teams in our North American region to implement and maintain strategic processes related to risk management, sourcing, and procurement of goods and services that are essential for the company's mid- and long-term operations.

Participate in the internal creation process and management actions of the Risk Management Plans, created and led by the Categories teams in the regions, supporting the tactical plan of assessing and mitigating issues and problems within the upstream supply chain, including supply disruptions, quality issues, and geopolitical factors that could impact sourcing.

Aim to participate in all internal initiatives and programs, such as Commercial Agreements, Change of Suppliers, and Multisource projects, to secure high-quality materials. Participate in some internal steps and processes to negotiate favorable terms with suppliers, drive cost efficiencies, and ensure a smooth and reliable supply chain.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Actively collaborate in the process of creation, revision, and management of the risk assessment methodologies, risk analysis, and risk mitigation strategies to effectively identify and address potential supply chain disruptions and vulnerabilities.
  • Assist in all types of information gathering activities and managing all the documents generated or demanded in our commercial agreements platform via the different systems and databases, evaluating and selecting the best procedures to deliver efficiency and performance.
  • Contribute to developing all the processes and internal activities needed to prepare and analyze the strategies and tactic plans connected with Change of Suppliers Multisource initiatives to obtain favorable pricing and service level agreements.
  • Support the Supply Chain Upstream team in developing and executing action plans that reflect the sourcing strategies defined by the company's Category Management teams.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Advanced Manufacturing, Flow Controllers, Category Associated, Supplier Quality Teams) to focus on tool, manpower, and machinery capacity analysis for different manufacturing and transformation processes to understand needs/requirements and contribute to aligning strategies with business.
  • Compliance and Ethics: Participate in ensuring compliance with procurement policies, procedures, regulations and adherence to all the requirements, ethical sourcing practices, and company policies related to supplier engagement.
  • Utilize procurement digital tools, software, and systems to assist in tracking and reporting on upstream procurement activities.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in upstream procurement, preferably in the Energy management and Automation sector.
  • Experience in risk assessment methodologies, analysis, and mitigation strategies to effectively identify and address potential supply chain disruptions and vulnerabilities.
  • Negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Proficiency in supplier relationship management and supply chain best practices.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications.
  • Verbal and written communication in English.
  • Experience in graphic and user-centric design skills BI tools/technologies, is a plus.
  • Data cleaning/prep , Data exploration , Statistics/Math , and Data mining , is a plus.
