For this U.S. based position, the expected compensation range is $96,000 - $144,000 per year, which includes base pay and short-term incentive.

The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located within the United States. Our salary ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar responsibility and level. Within the salary range, individual pay is determined by several factors including performance, knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Wh at will you do?
  • Structure and implement process automation for highly complex process requirements.
  • Support project planning and delivery by reviewing client needs, setting overall project strategy, and defining the particulars of a project approach.
  • Develop templates, engineering standards, and technical frameworks to be used by their teams in the delivery of individual client projects.
  • This is complemented by a periodical review of the actual software source code developed in projects to ensure its quality and adherence to set software specifications.
  • Planning of project work based on review of team progress.
  • Act as the senior point of contact for clients' management teams throughout project initiation and delivery.
  • Initiate and documenting change requests, extensions, and similar action items for client projects.
  • Supply regular written and oral reports to the Senior Project Manager who supervise personnel in our Food, Brewing, and Dairy project teams, and provide them with information if project delivery is on time and within established budgets and project requirements.
  • Work with S88.01 compliant batch processing automation software requirements and implementation.
  • Program PLCs, work with complex PLC project structures for Rockwell and Siemens PLCs involving multiple controllers, work in existing programs, find and resolve error root causes, and create and implement system fixes.
  • Work with database structures and functionalities for production and archive databases.
  • Install processes for new process control installations, maintain and support older versions of systems, and if required, upgrade existing installations.
  • Configure and debug Rockwell and Siemens controllers and their respective underlying hardware and field connections in a process environment.
  • Decide which of the engineering teams' members will be responsible for carrying out the specific activities necessary for project delivery.
  • Telecommuting: 2 days per week. 25% domestic and international travel required for customer clarifications and project implementations.

What skills and capabilities will make you successful?
  • This position requires a Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Chemical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering or a related field
  • 3 years of work experience providing engineering and commissioning services in the field of process automation working with batch centric automation systems

What qualifications will make you successful for this role?
  • The applicant must have professional experience with:
    • Utilizing Rockwell Automation PLCs, Siemens PLCs and Modicon PLCs to guarantee reliability and process stability with a real time control architecture
    • Utilizing Microsoft SQL to setup a digital representation of the customer plant with equipment classes and the definition of required functionalities to be prepared to run customer processes
    • Utilizing P&ID and electrical drawings to understand the setup defined for the process execution
    • Defining and implementing the most feasible control strategies based on the layout to reach customer demands with respect to quality, efficiency and process safety
    • Utilizing S88 process control system functionality to provide the best possible standardization and modular repeatability of process functionality for our customers
    • Utilizing process control systems for the automation of S88 compliant processes
    • Creating batch models from process requirements definitions
    • Setting up of complex structures in database models reflecting customer requirements
    • Coordinating execution of necessary steps for full automation of processes.
