We are hiring an Automation Engineer with a strong background in in product manufacturing assembly process and automation to join the Schneider Electric Solar + Storage team in Bangalore.

• Involve in early product development stages to understand manufacturing processes and identify automation opportunities.
• Develop automation plans with cross-functional teams and collaborate with suppliers to conceptualize cost-effective solutions.
• Prepare 3D Work Instructions and Job Breakdown Sheets (JBS) while providing Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) inputs.
• Support prototype development, pilot runs, and ensure smooth implementation of automation in factories.
• Optimize costs, increase productivity, and improve product quality by improved manufacturing processes.
• Interface with design engineers for new product development and manage post-launch product changes.
• Lead the specification, implementation, and qualification of manufacturing processes in compliance with SPS principles.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and develop new layouts for enhanced efficiency.
What qualifications will make you successful?
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, etc.)
• Proven experience in product development and manufacturing processes.
• Experience in automation and robotics integration.
• Proficiency in 3D modeling software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
• Knowledge of Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles.
• Familiarity with conveyor systems, pneumatics, robotics, and automation technologies.
• Strong project management skills with experience in cross-functional collaboration.
• Ability to develop and implement project plans within specified timelines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify and optimize processes.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with teams and suppliers.
• Understanding of lean principles and value stream mapping for process improvement.
• Ability to adapt to changing technologies and continuous improvement initiatives.
