- Schneider Electric USA, Inc. seeks a Principal Data Engineer in Andover, MA.
Job Description: Review and validate requirements, architecture, design documents, and technical specifications. Evaluate and identify the required test automation and test management tools by applying the latest techniques and methodologies available in the market. Create test specification, test plan, and detailed test cases based on product requirements, architecture, and design documents. Design and develop test automation scripts using the best frameworks applicable for application under test. Provide accurate estimations on the testing activities to managers including dependencies. Validate the software to identify issues. Document, report, and track identified issues. Review test cases and test data generated by the Software Test Engineers and provide feedback. Coordinate with stakeholders (Product Owner, Scrum Master, Architect, Software development and DevOps teams) to ensure successful execution of the project with quality. Comply with project plans and industry standards. Track and report quality metrics. Attend regular project review meetings. Monitor and escalate issues effectively, ensuring clear communication channels and timely voicing of risks on the projects and initiatives. Eligible for remote work up to 4 days/wk.

Requirements: Position requires a Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field and 8 years of progressive, post-bachelor's experience is required as a Principal Data QA Engineer, Technical Architect, System Analyst, Software testing, or related occupation, which must include at least some experience in the following: Writing well-structured test plans, test specifications, and test cases; Testing RESTful APIs for Amazon Azure; API testing (manual and automation) using Postman, Pytest, or Python; Creating complex SQL queries using joins; Creating test scripts using JAVA, WebDriver, Selenium; Managing versions using GitHub or Postman; Functional and non-functional testing, testing process and tools; Continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD); and Testing in Agile and Scrum development environments.
