Schneider Electric Systems USA, Inc. seeks a Principal Application Engineer in Richfield, OH.
Job Description: Configure and troubleshoot the Foxboro Distributed Control Systems (DCS) in a field environment gained through project work. Work independently, travel to supporting installed base SE Foxboro DCS customer sites throughout Minnesota and adjacent states. Work with SE Triconex to support installed base customer sites in Minnesota and adjacent states. Act as an expert in foundation fieldbus. Plan system upgrades and write upgrade plans, conducting testing in a staging or field environment. Provide technical guidance to installed base SE Foxboro customers. Position eligible for 100% remote work reporting to company site in Richfield, OH. 80% domestic travel required to customer sites in Minnesota and adjacent states to provide field support for Foxboro DCS and Triconex systems.

Requirements: Position requires a Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in electronic or electrical engineering, or related field and 5 years of progressive, post bachelor's experience in electrical engineering of Foxboro DCS and Triconex systems, or closely related occupation, which must include at least some experience in the following skills: Planning and executing Foxboro DCS upgrades at customer sites in a field environment as lead engineer; Working in customer manufacturing environment to troubleshoot and solve problems in SE Foxboro DCS; Diagnosing issues and working with remote global support to solve the case; Documenting and reporting technical work scope status and completing through field service reports for the client; and Supporting installed base customers for foundation fieldbus.
