For this U.S. based position, the expected base salary is $132,600 - $139,230.00 per year. Additional short-term incentive compensation is a typical part of our compensation structure and would be in addition to the above-stated range.
The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located within the United States. Our salary ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar responsibility and level. Within the salary range, individual pay is determined by several factors including performance, knowledge, job- related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Schneider Electric Engineering Services, LLC seeks a Power System Engineer - Senior in Bellevue, WA.
Job Description: Responsible for leading and executing power system engineering studies for clients nationwide, with an emphasis on the Seattle, WA area. Primary areas of focus are short-circuit, coordination, and arc flash studies. Perform power system studies including analyses such as short-circuit, coordination, arc flash, load flow, voltage drop, and harmonics. Analyze and advise on digital relay protection and control. Use expertise in ETAP, SKM software to perform power system analyses. 25% domestic travel to customer sites primarily in Pacific Northwest, but occasionally nationwide, to support data collection on customer equipment and present results. Eligible for remote work up to 3 days per week.
Requirements: Position requires a Master's or Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Electrical Engineering, or related field and progressive, post-bachelor's experience (1 year with Master's or 3 years with Bachelor's) in power system engineering or related power systems occupation, which must include at least some experience in the following skills: Using ETAP or SKM software to perform power system analysis; Designing systems using National Electrical Code (NEC) cable and transformer protection; Electrical system design using NEC coordination requirements; Writing power study reports; and Communicating power study results and recommendations directly to clients.
