What will you do?

The Digital Power Application Center's Team is expanding, and we are seeking a Power Application Engineering Specialist to assist us in meeting our customers' expectations regarding their Power Management Systems. We are seeking a collaborative team member capable of delivering intricate solutions that integrate hardware and software, identifying opportunities for our sales team, and providing technical solutions for proposals. This role serves as the "face of Schneider" as work is primarily conducted at customer sites, emphasizing the importance of strong customer management skills.

In this role, you will be involved in all phases of a typical customer project, including configuration, commissioning, conducting Factory Acceptance Tests, providing customer training, and delivering post-sale support.

  • Provide technical expertise and Implement Energy Monitoring and Control solutions.
  • Commission and startup of energy meters, gateways, and Energy Servers.
  • Deploy Energy Monitoring and SCADA systems and upgrades.
  • Ensure timely response to customers and report work progress to all relevant stakeholders.
  • Troubleshoot problems on already installed Power Monitoring/SCADA system at customer's premises.
  • Perform system routine maintenance verifications on power meters, energy servers, HMI, network components, etc.
  • Provide technical support to help our sales channels to promote energy management solutions.
  • Provide technical training to customers.
  • Prepare commissioning reports, testing plans and engineering deliverables.


What qualifications will make you successful for this role?

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical engineering, Computer Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong understanding of power system fundamentals.
  • Ability to integrate IEDs (Meter, etc) with LV and MV Power equipment and other network devices using various industrial protocols (BACnet, Modbus RTU, etc.).
  • Ability to work effectively in a group or independently.
  • Network troubleshooting skills and database experience (Microsoft SQL server).
  • "I've got this" attitude is essential.
  • Ability to regularly travel to customer sites (up to 75%), including Weekends/Holidays


Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of Schneider Electric products (Power Meters, ION technology)
  • General programming skills (Python, Visual Basic, C++, C#, etc)
  • Experience with VMWare
  • Controls and PLC experience
