What will you do?

Reporting to the Factory Director and being part of the Plant leadership team, the Performance Leader is responsible for challenging and supporting the ETO Factory's performance (Engineering to Order business), deploying the SPS (Schneider Performance System) as a backbone to sustain the Factory's operational excellence, working hand in hand with the different departments of the Plant to implement best practices, Lean Management and in general, all types of continuous process improvement initiatives that lead to improving the Factory's performance.

  • Animate the Factory's Winning Plan (annual roadmap of strategic transformation / improvement initiatives).
  • Create (or contribute) shared action plans with the Factory's Department to achieve the Winning Plan and Plant performance targets.
  • Coordinate and coach across the Factory the effective and systematic deployment of the Schneider Performance System (SPS), leading to pragmatic improvement of key process performance.
  • Be the cross functional facilitator (interlink/SPOC) within the Factory with the Regional/Global process owners, SPS SMEs (subject matters experts) and central functions sponsors.
  • Manages the Continuous improvement process within the Plant to support Customer Satisfaction (On-Time delivery, Customer experience) and Quality (process robustness).
  • Challenge and coach the different processes throughout the Factory to optimize information flows, industrial layout spaces, equipment efficiency, product lead time, organizational efficiency, internal process capacity and PLT (process lead time) reductions, etc. by providing LEAN Manufacturing / Lean Office diagnosis, DMAIC and/or animating the realization of Kaizen or Kaikaku events.
  • Consolidate monthly Plant DLP results (Direct Labor Productivity), challenging and supporting the different Departments to co-deliver DLP targets.
  • Prepare Business Cases and conduct feasibility studies, including support for industrial deployment studies (capacity increases, new products localizations, industrial re-balance).
  • Support the Factory on Safety: zero accidents target.
  • Participate to the decision-making process for all investments/Capex, such as: new product introduction, new industrial equipment, facility/building enhancements, among others.
  • Encourage and advise on the extensive use of digital tools throughout the Factory processes (Data Analytics, AI, etc.).
  • Lead transformation projects throughout the Plant and, in general, drive key initiatives that lead to the improvement of operational and business performance.

What qualifications will make you successful for this role?
  • Academic qualifications: At least a bachelor's degree (engineering, administration, business or related). Postgraduate studies will be a plus. PMP certification will be a plus.
  • Oral and written skills in Portuguese or Spanish is a must (one or the other)
  • Oral and written skills in English; at least intermediate level is a must; advanced level will be a plus.
  • Deep knowledge of continuous improvement, operational excellence, and Lean Management tools.
  • Proven experience leading continuous improvement projects with significant qualitative (productivity) and quantitative (hard savings) results.
  • Skills: analytical and consulting skills. Change management and transformational leadership.
  • Digital mindset.
