Job Summary:

Join Schneider Electric as the NAM Domestic Transportation Senior Manager! In this pivotal role, you will lead a dynamic team responsible for overseeing all aspects of Domestic Transportation operations across the United States, Mexico, Canada, and Costa Rica. Your strategic vision will drive efficiency and innovation within our Transportation & Customs team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement innovative transportation strategies to optimize domestic logistics operations.
  • Team Leadership: Inspire and mentor a team of transportation professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
  • Vendor Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with carriers and service providers to negotiate competitive rates and ensure exceptional service quality. Conduct Monthly and Quarterly Business Reviews with key suppliers to drive performance.
  • Performance Analysis: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate transportation efficiency and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Budget Management: Oversee the transportation budget, ensuring cost-effective operations that align with financial objectives. Collaborate with the Procurement team to provide essential inputs for annual transportation competitive bid events.
  • Compliance and Safety: Ensure adherence to regulations and safety standards across all transportation activities.

Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Transport Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of relevant Transportation Management experience, with a strong background in both domestic and international shipment management.
  • Language Skills: Advanced proficiency in English; fluency in Spanish is a plus.
  • Travel Requirements: Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time, with the potential for increased travel (up to 50%) during project implementation support phases.

Skills Required:
  • Digital Transformation Leadership: Demonstrated ability to spearhead initiatives that enhance digital capabilities within transportation.
  • Diverse Transport Modes Knowledge: Proven leadership experience across various domestic transport modes, including LTL, domestic parcel and air, full truckload, fleet management, and cross-border operations.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Exceptional collaboration, communication, and influencing skills to effectively lead teams and manage stakeholder relationships.
  • Analytical Proficiency: Advanced Microsoft Excel skills for data analysis and financial insights. Experience with Tableau and other data analytics / visualization tools a plus.
  • Project Management: Experience in leading cross-functional teams to develop and execute logistics strategies.
  • Self-Motivated: Ability to work independently while effectively managing relationships.
  • Business Operations Understanding: Strong grasp of operational support, manufacturing, procurement, and supply chain processes.
