We have an exciting Sydney based opportunity for an experienced business developer with a focus on managing the Mid Market Projects opportunities for the Home & Distribution Business to maximise the success of Schneider by promoting Clipsal & Schneider Electric's range of products and solutions into the projects market.

This critical role is responsible for developing and growing business opportunities and increasing revenue for our Home and Distribution business by owning key accounts & leveraging relationships to deliver success across the SE business.

The aim of this role is to pursue and win targeted projects in construction across a variety of key market demographics. Success will be achieved by evaluating market trends and business fundamentals, identifying opportunities and ultimately effective delivery of mutually beneficial commercial outcomes. You bring with you an ability to understand and leverage opportunities right across the project value chain, adding influence, tenacity, and a "hunters" mindset combined with an innovative approach.

What sets you apart?

Ideally the building and construction landscape will be a familiar canvass to you, and you have good relationships with developers, builders, and contractors. You understand the key industry challenges and influences, and can build commercial value and confidence in the presentation of your ideas. Your business development experience is focused on solution sales, right through to strategic value chain propositions with senior decision makers.

The successful profile will include:
  • Tertiary qualifications in Business or appropriate technical discipline.
  • A fearless approach to business development and a passion for uncovering large scale solution sales opportunities
  • An understanding of the broader building and construction sector
  • Highly developed customer engagement and relationship building skills
  • A Collaborative and solution driven approach and capability to sell our broad portfolio
  • Strong commercial sensibility, and be influential and prescriptive with end users & contractors
  • Ability to drive performance excellence within a highly competitive market
