Schneider Electric has an opportunity for a Mechanical CAD Applications Engineer in our Apodaca, N.L. location.

You will be part of the Digital Engineering Platform team, as part of our team you will collaborate with Agile teams to develop, configure, deploy and support applications, CAD tools and methods to Engineering and R&D Users worldwide by defining and designing tool specifications for CAD and Engineering Tools (CREO Parametric, PTC Workgroup manager, CE-Tol, etc.), define optimal IT architecture that comply with Cybersecurity and select the best strategies to deploy engineering software.

What do you get to do in this position?
  • MCAD tools Administration: Administering and maintaining the MCAD tools environment, including installation, configuration, and customization to meet the needs of the organization.
  • Customize and develop MCAD tools functionalities and automation to improve design and engineering processes.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to users of MCAD software, addressing and resolving software-related issues in a timely manner.
  • Contribute to the development of standardized procedures, methods, tutorials and best practices for MCAD application support and utilization.
  • Conduct user sharing sessions to enhance the proficiency of MCAD application users and promote best practices for efficient utilization.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess, evaluate, and implement new software releases, updates, and customizations.
  • Coordinate User Acceptance Test campaigns and Hypercare Support campaigns for software implementation.
  • Work closely with the IT and engineering departments to streamline the integration and functionality of MCAD applications within the digital engineering environment.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimization, automation, and support.

You will work in an environment that will require you:
  • Strong Mechanical CAD Knowledge (CAD Tools like CREO Parametric, CE-Tol, others).
  • Excellent communication skills: Able to understand business requirements related to tolerance analysis domain, document and explain those requirements to vendors, promote best practices for mechanical design.
  • Understand Product Data Management and Product Evolution Process.
  • Open to learn on IT applications configuration and application management.
  • Knowledge of Model Based Design will be a plus.
  • Agile mindset and Scrum practices is a plus.
  • Must have 2 to 5 years of experience in design and development of electromechanical products or design Methods and Tools.
  • Good level of technical proficiency in English.

  • Careers: Mechatronics Engineer or Mechanical engineering or Industrial Design with strong MCAD design tool orientation
  • English is a must.
  • Proficiency in MCAD software applications such as CREO Parametric, CE-Tol, Autocad, etc.
  • Experience in Product Data Management systems like Windchill.
  • Able to work independently and goal oriented.
  • Have strong commitment with our end users
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact and collaborate with diverse teams and cultures.
