MEA REGIONAL MANAGER
GLOBAL INTERNATIONAL MOBILITY CENTER
The MEA Regional Manager is in charge of managing mobility of Schneider Electric employees for the region (inbound and outbound).
The MEA Regional Manager has accountability for the operational management and coordination of the assignment process from start-to-finish (standard and complex cases) and to act as an expert consultant to the region. This role reports to the Global International Mobility Center VP and works closely with the other Regional Managers (Europe, APAC and Americas).
The MEA Regional Manager is supported by 2 team members and is expected to provide a superior customer service according to the Service Level Agreement and the International Mobility policies.

This role requires broad HR experience and a background/ proven track record in managing international mobility as well as an extensive technical knowledge of HR issues such as compensation & benefits, implementation of processes required in different countries of the MEA region and deep understanding of mobility external market practices in the region.
The MEA Regional Manager must be results and customer service oriented and have the ability to work in close collaboration with the broader Global International Mobility team, Global Executive Rewards team as well as Regional stakeholders.
The main responsibilities are:
Stakeholder management and advisory:
- Cultivate relationships with HR Business Partner, Shared Services and Finance teams to increase understanding of the existing mobility policies by consulting and communicating programs clearly and concisely.
- Propose enhancements of International Mobility policies to meet business needs and support growth through talent mobility in the region.
- Monitor external trends and regulatory changes that impact assignments and anticipate and adapt SE approach accordingly.
Lead Operations:
- Manage day-to-day operations with the team during the whole assignment cycle, including immigration, relocation, social security, mobility benefits, payroll and tax, etc., to ensure the services run smoothly and efficiently.
- Validate compensation worksheet, assignment contract, exceptions approval, reward campaigns etc., to ensure adherence to corporate compliance, legal and local/global regulatory standards.
- Work with home/host finance and accounting to provide total cost view of assignees and timely payment of vendors.
Deliver excellent assignee experience:
- Supervise team's and vendor's (relocation, tax provider) customer service and measure through defined SLAs and KPIs to control operations end to end and deliver excellent employee experience, including to VIPs.
- Actively partner with group security team supporting assignees and their families in the region.
- Prepare and conduct "client" review meetings at country/region level.
- Streamline and simplify processes to achieve continuous improvement target.
Team and project management:
- Lead and mentor MEA Mobility team to commit to their competencies and career development
- Contribute to and lead Mobility team projects.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Proven influencing, problem-solving, and advisory skills.
- Experience leading and being part of a multi-cultural team.
- At least 8 years of experience in Global Mobility.
- Strong mobility experience in Middle East and Africa markets
- Strong technical expertise and qualifications in tax and legal aspects of mobility.
- In-house experience in managing global mobility programs.
