The Material Productivity Leader provide strategic direction and is in charge of develop, lead and execution of all the initiatives for the direct material cost-out activities in the plant. Also is responsible to support the operational relations with suppliers based on the strategy defined by the commodity management and Procurement departments including activities like the correct respect of the contracts in the plant, support RFQ processes including its creation and follow up, as well as take part in the negotiation process regarding price definition, quantity of products, quality and logistic level. Track and report key elements/data on supplier performance.

• Lead a project portfolio of cost reduction initiatives for the direct material in the assigned plant.

• Develop, sell, lead and execute cost reduction projects in a cross-functional environment aligned to the North America region strategy. Initiatives include change of supplier, quality & value engineering changes, supply base optimization and supply risk mitigation among others.

• Lead and build and support a solid pipeline of projects through new ideas that secure productivity year over year.

• Coach, disrupt and lead the procurement organization in the project management/agile best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure the correct deployment of the general Purchasing Strategy of cost reduction initiatives in the cluster.

• Propose cost reduction projects/ ideas (QVE, Rebalancing, etc. ) within his/her perimeter in consistency with the Purchasing strategy goals.

• Contribute to the correct purchasing database maintenance via the regular and constant update of corresponding data.

• Support the commodity management strategy for supplier consultation & selection including negotiate and manage contracts with local/specific suppliers (price, lead times, pay terms, inventory level, etc. )

• Support and / or lead all the activities related the supply qualification system in plant according with the responsibility matrix defined

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business

• +3 years proven experience working in Project Management.

• Previous experience working in Procurement, Engineering, Manufacturing or Supply Chain areas.

• Proactive, dynamic, self-driven, results oriented, passioned to achieve results via Influence and great communications skills

• Seeks solutions beyond his/her own frame of reference

• Availability to travel Internationally (Valid Passport and USA Visa)

• PMP Training
