What will you do?
The Planner is responsible for overseeing the planning and scheduling of production activities to ensure efficient operations and timely delivery of products. This role involves coordinating with various departments, analyzing inventory levels, and optimizing resources to meet customer demands.
What skills and capabilities will make you successful?
- Direct order entry and planning activities to meet customer specifications and delivery requirements within capacity limits.
- Plan, schedule, and prepare details for production work orders, including product specifications , material requirements , routing , quantities and release and shipping dates.
- Develop and maintain production schedules based on demand forecasts, inventory levels, and capacity constraints.
- Collaborate with production teams to ensure alignment with manufacturing capabilities.
- Process and prioritize customer orders, ensuring timely fulfillment.
- Revise and adjust orders weekly to reflect updated date for Open Work orders.
- Ensure orders are managed to handle rush priorities , material shortages , vendor delivery failures and c ustomer cancellations.
- Establish manufacturing lead times for regular orders in conjunction with Manufacturing.
- Assist in projecting delivery dates for new orders.
- Escalate any issue increasing the LT for the manager.
- Update the Customer ESW system as required.
- Utilize the JDE materials information system.
- Coordinate the shipment of materials to other plants based on availability.
- Analyze production data and performance metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement utilizing accurate scheduling, data, and root cause analysis.
- Prepare and present reports on production plans, inventory status, and order fulfillment rates to management.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings with continuous improvement practices.
- Review and escalate material plan to support Work Order Schedule and any shortages that might be impacting schedule.
- Compile and prepare orders for inventory as needed to comply with schedule.
- Be the main point of contact for Reynosa Supply parts, SIM and DSR meetings.
- Issue requisitions for new and special materials and subcontracted parts as needed.
- Follow up daily with Purchasing on Open Shortages
- This position will interact with all levels of employees as well as customers and vendors.
- Work closely with Production, Sales, Purchasing, and Supply Chain to communicate risk of shortages and plan to ensure proper supply.
- Work with production and engineering on scheduling and deviation to resolve potential shortages.
- Daily communication with production/shipping on Critical orders.
- Work closely with Cycle Counters for any part discrepancy.
- Provide updates to management team on production status and address any issues affecting order fulfillment regarding shipping dates, escalated critical parts, critical materials, customer satisfaction and responding to customer requests within 24 hours.

What qualifications will make you successful for this role?
- Experience in a manufacturing environment with MRP systems is required.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred; two plus years or more related experience and/or training
- Excellent PC and system knowledge, including the ability to analyze data within an MRP system.
